Syzen if you need help with ores look at your map and the dots indicate the ores. Dark brown-iron, White-nitrate powder, Blue-lead, Black-coal, and Light brown- oil
You know it's always good to see how real the struggle can be for this game. I appreciate how honest this series has been. As a mediocre player, it's kinda nice to see even talented players have struggles. Keep at it man, you're honestly doing awesomes
Not sure if you already realised but the business man was going for the wall as it was only one block to break where as your defense position was two, make the walls thicker with a plate flush against them and you can put back the railing on the outside of your fighting position
@@isyzen HI, i just want to mention that the Sledge turret you placed is on the same side where Demo zombies has their Trigger button. It might cause more pain than service.
Maybe test the grenade/molotov shoot, now so you know it works/what needs ti be changed rather then hoping it works while being stressed out from a horde night, 😂 also, do a test run with one or two zombies, then a travelling horde THEN a horde night, build up and test it all works as you go
I will NOT throw molotovs through a less than 2x2 block space because the hit boxes are sufficiently janky that it's going to kill me as often as it kills them. Even on open ground I tend to jump before I throw Mollys and Contact explosives because of how often a Z will be juuust a bit too close and you wind up splashing yourself with it. Unlike Vanilla Molotovs are almost guaranteed suicide in DF too because they burn SO much faster, unless you're full health and high wellness you've got about 2.5 seconds to switch to a drink or it's too late.
@@shadowalkerwho whats fun is making a 2x2 but then putting ladders on opposite sides and you can effectively 'float' between the ladders and safely toss molotovs.... OR as a scientist class, make flame bolts/arrows and those also act like molotovs at point of impact, and i think skills in explosion makes those ones stronger, too
@@swordsnroses1986 I believe you're correct, I'm playing scientist and fully unlocked the Explosives perks and I burn to death SO FAST when I misfire a molly.
Place boxes just outside the range of each POI (I usually do it by the road). To know the range start a mission and look at the color of the Stay inside zone. When it turns red your at the border. put your boxes down and loot everything in every house. Loot all day grabbing everything and throw it all in the boxes. When you have a vehicle with a big trunk go collect from all your boxes at once so all resources stack (I do this at night). you can clean a town quick and push your gamestage up for more...fun. You'll see. Not sure if you covered this yet or not but you can lock things in your inventory with the numbers at the top. box with 1 arrow puts stuff that is in your inventory into storage if that item is already inside said storage. 3 arrows is all Deposit. I carry wood, ammo, plant fiber (quick beds), repair kits, lockpicks, and water (It's important).
Make sure there isn’t any spaces on the front side of the base where the Zombies can pile up and climb over. Remember, they’ll find the weakest point/easiest way to you and sometimes that’s up and over the strong defenses you made 😂 love watching this come together!
Keep going and you will survive a horde night with that horde base you have and I just survived my first insane difficulty on a new world and I nearly died because of a little lag
The zombies searching for the less action used way to you, so the zombies beating throug the walls with the most less afford. In your horde base, the middle way to you have more layers of cobble stone to you as the wall next to you. Take this in the mind if you construct something. I learnd the hard way 😅. Like your videos
I know you record these in advance, but... You can only have 1 robotic turret (sledge, junk turret) active at a time, 2 if you maxed out Robotics Inventor, and you need to be close to them (range extends if you put points in Robotic Inventor) for them to be active... range starts really low. If you want potent and more defenses, you need something else, like fixed SMG or shotgun turrets, blade traps or electric fences. As for the zombies... if you put the grates on the outer side, level with the wall, then the sledge can keep knocking them to the side. Otherwise it only pushes them into the alcove.
If you want your Sledge to work the way you want, try out the "Power Blow" Mod for it. You will love it :) I build so many hordebases till now & sooo many of them got destroyed so bad (most of them in Darkness Falls). If you fail with that base, its natural. Its learning. Its improving & adapting. Things can get hard in DF. As long you have fun with the game, its a win for you & us. Keep killin & gettin killed. We do this the same way :) Have a nice week :)
you can craft a watch right now iSyzen. you can know the time without going to the trader since you have Science 3, which allows you to make the watch instead of having the survivalist class. I believe at least.
0:49 I could have sworn you found a welding torch the other day. Maybe I'm mixing up your series with someone else's but I have a recollection of seeing a welding torch get picked up and thinking "you should be leaving RIGHT NOW to get that cement mixer crafting so you can have Concrete going in time for Horde Night".
make sure to have water in ur hotbar during horde night so just in case u burn urself, u can just just extinguish urself immediately since molotovs burn so fast in DF. Also the molotov chute might be too small, feel like ur gonna burn urself a lot if it's like that
Finally zombies will always take the path of least resistance. So you have to reinforce all the parts that they can take to get to you, otherwise they will find the weakest side and they will dig their way in no time
For the sledge turrets try and see if you can make the power shot mod (don't remember if that's the right name bit it's power something) that thing makes them yeet zombies a like a stun baton repulsor if not more.
@isyzen You need to put some support on the stairs, and change the fighting point. They'll rip through it in seconds. I have to admit, it's hilarious watching you.
You are making your hordebase to complicated,a lot of unnecessary blocks that is going to cost you a lot of resources when it's not necessary, make it simple
Welding torch drops from working stiff crates and air drops.
Trader Bob also has a VERY good chance of selling them, so go find him.
Can't wait till he encounters his first "Air Assault".

Horde night will be educational with this base design. Best of luck with the design.
You can use grandpa forgetting elixir to fix your point for assault rifle

Yo bro I love the videos always look foward to it every night it’s a good escape keep it up brother 💙
Id test it because the box you built over the ram looks like you made a perfect ramp for them to climb up over
Not done with the run way yet trust I saw that lol
When you upgrade to concrete you'll get a lot of levels i use a learning elixir

U got the cement mixer schematic bro
I foresee death and destruction.
Also he really needs to try and get a feel the heat mod for the smg. I wanna see his reaction to it XD.
I don't want to piss on your chips but that base is going to last about 5 seconds , 20 seconds if its concrete 🤣🤣.
Make that one minute with polished steel
Guess we will see!
