I once bought a pair of Gingers from JoAnn Fabrics. They were dull out of the package. My theory is that someone returned their old pair. It turned out well as I was able to exchange them right away, no problem. This was after I tried to sharpen my Fiskars myself. Don't do it! I will have to start wiping mine down. Got a little stone Sharpening wheel years ago, it's small and I screw on the table. Really good and was only £5 and I sharpen all my tools even gardening shears once a year.
