Painting pears & persimmons

This is a little improvised painting with just a vague general focus to capture 2 pears and 2 persimmons that are starting to turn brown.
I am also inspired by Suhita’s bold gestural depiction of persimmons and Shari’s sensitive colour study of pears. This 2 ladies never fail to surprise me with their art.
I think the sketch landed in an interesting place. I like how the negative shapes, edges and textures al came together.
