GOOD MORNING DeConstructed!
มุมมอง 1.2K6 หลายเดือนก่อน
GOOD MORNING DeConstructed!! Creative workout with lots of breaking and rebuilding. I wasn’t sure if this crazy adventure will crash or take flight but I was certainly having fun all morning. This 2nd version is an abstraction exercise without creating an exact replica but rather extract the essence from the first artwork. Happy to hear your critic and comments. #watercolor #watercolorpainting ...
PRETTY TEAL

Messy playful Friday with new watercolour sticks made by Daniel Smith artists materials . These buttery sticks are simply paint rolled into a small stick and they give you endless possibilities. You can now draw and paint at the same time. Stay tuned for the next DeConstruction phase.

This an artwork is inspired by my recent workshop (Free Your Lines) with Suhita. We explored cultivating freedom in our drawing process as well as manipulating the paper surface to discover new “skins”. #watercolourpainting #watercolor #danielsmithwatercolor
Colourful Monday
มุมมอง 1.1K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Kicking off my new week with a bit of playful exploration. I enjoy deconstructing my art and explore new possibilities especially when I need a boost. Here I am looking for new combination of marks and colours. Lots of new shapes are generated too. Have an inspired Monday too! #artoftheday #sketching #drawing #watercolormixing #watercolor_inspiration #watercolourart #danielsmith

A is little 2 part video to show you how I warm-up, play and experiment with unconventional tools on-location. This helps to set the mood and direction for the sketching process. The 1st part is made on-location at a Keong Saik road and the 2nd part of the editing phase was finished and filmed in the comfort of my room. Materials: 1) Fabriano Artistico Hot pressed paper 2) Daniel Smith watercol...

Reminiscing my short but sweet holiday in Georgetown Penang by sketching and painting it again. I took reference from a busy spot in Georgetown's Little India. I decided to spilt the process into 3 parts. 1) Drawing & Creative travels 2) Breaking, Bending & Building 3) Defining & Refining the story Hope you will enjoy my fun messy process! #watercolours #watercolor #danielsmith #drawing #sketch...
DURIANS FOR YOU?
มุมมอง 1.8K2 ปีที่แล้ว
My little fast and fun sketch of a durian stall in my neighbourhood. It is the durian season again and this year the harvest is bountiful. Prices have been greatly reduced because of export issues. We fondly call the durian, king of the fruit kingdom. You will be rewarded with sweet creamy flesh once get past the thorny outer shell!! Do you love it or hate it? 😂😂 #sketching #painting #watercolo...
Sketches from London, Manchester & Oxford (19May - 7June 2022)
มุมมอง 2.1K2 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a short visual summary of my recent 3 weeks trip to UK. First trip in 2.5years since Covid hit so I am really grateful for the time in London, Manchester and Oxford. Main reason for this trip is to teach 2 rounds of Discovery Workshops in Oxford. I managed to also meet and teach a Sketching Dangerously workshop in Manchester before heading down to Oxford. I met so many wonderful sketche...
Sketching with my new brass nib and ink from Kakimori
มุมมอง 6K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Playing with my new brass nib and pigment ink from @kakimori shop. The nib gets smoother and better with frequent use. You can get thick and thin lines just by changing the angle of the dip pen. The ink is also flows really well and waterproof when dry. The lines will not smudge even when you add watercolour washes. You can click on their website for more information. kakimori.com/en #sketchboo...
TURF TAVERN OXFORD
มุมมอง 3.5K2 ปีที่แล้ว
IIn less than 3 weeks I will be jumping on a plane and heading to UK. Super excited to be finally teaching workshops in Oxford and Manchester after the cancellation in 2020. First trip out in 2 years!! I am both elated and nervous to see the world after the pandemic. So here is a little preparation sketch of Turf Tavern to get myself ready for the workshops. I still have a few spots open if you...
To the market, Hoi An Vietnam
มุมมอง 3K2 ปีที่แล้ว
I first visited beautiful Hoi An in 2016 and fell in love with this ancient town instantly. Every corner you turn you see something picturesque and totally sketchable. In 2019 I returned to Hoi An and led an art retreat with Anna from @annasartfoodculture . She is an amazing host/guide and she really opened my eyes to the food and people of Vietnam. So this sketch is my way of paying homage and...

While the style is free, such elegance is retained
Do you use neo 2 only or neo 1 also?
Absolutely wonderful
Beautiful, the colors are so nice.
Gorgeous!
What à delight for the eye!
Thank you . Your voice, background music are very soothing. Enjoy watching you create, especially since you don't speed up the video . Very instructive and relaxing. 🙏💖
Abstract but detailed, love your colors Paul
Nice adjustments!
That is a stunning piece. What is remarkable is your choice of subject. I think your selection would bypass most people but you could see the opportunities in your selected motif. Something that is impossible to bottle.
To say that I LOVE Rockwell paints would be an understatement. Painting with them is like watching magic unfold before you very eyes. I may have discovered them through you IG account, so for that I thank you. My new favourite is Cerulean Warbler, although choosing a favourite Rockwell self-evolving paint is akin to declaring a favourite child. For me, Cleopatra Green required some time to discover its potential. Palaiba Blue, Magic Wizard? I can't say enough. I gush for these paints.
😍👏👏👏
Very beautiful art. 💛
Simply stunning!
You are a great artist and it's a joy to watch you at work.
Gorgeous! I love watching you paint!!
Love it. So instructive to see how he works letting the colors flow together
Question: once you've cut up the original painting to start into this exercise: do you refer to either an image of it as it was, an image of the original setting, or your memory? Or only imagination? I am glad to have learned to slow down videos just now. After watching sped-up painting demos, I have a tendency to rush my own decision making. I am in love with all your still-life paintings! I need to go back to review them...slowly!
Amazing process ❤
I love your art! Please show more on TH-cam! You are such an inspiration!
Hi Paul, your style is amazing! This is my favorite style ever, and I am trying to learn it one day. Paul, I have a question: how are you dealing with the comments behind your back that this Is how 3 years old child can draw, or this is NO PROFESSIONAL SKILLS at all, or something like this? These comments hurt me personally so badly, and I would like to know how are you dealing with them especially when they are coming from your loved once? Thank you!
AMAZING style! Love it!
Great 👍🏼
I had to slow it down and watch the last few seconds many times. Love the colors, love your vision. Your work so inspires me! Thank you!
So fun and interesting.
Amazing 🎉
Thank you! Really interesting process.
Just gorgeous! Thanks for sharing your process!
It's really nice to see the pictures of the different steps. Thank your for sharing. ❤
This is very cool and is sparking some ideas. Thanks for showing us!
Love the music. It’s perfect for this theme, in my opinion. And I was so excited to see the second part of this deconstruction! Great concept. I do love watching you paint. 🎨 thanks for sharing 😊
Hello! Good to see you here after a while!❤ I enjoyed this video-and coincidentally tried a similar exercise last week but without adding sketched elements and other mediums. I’ll try it again. All the white apace is important, I see.
Happy to ne back too! Have fun playing. ❤😅
Just what I needed
I absolutely love everything about this
Thank you so much!!😊🙏

Thank you so much! Appreciate your support!! 🙏🤓
Who made the original, and who makes it now? Without this information, it’s impossible to distinguish genuine from counterfeit. This is nothing but an advertisement for your own social media, and someone else’s potentially fraudulent resale.
Me encanta.....
12:30 Mindful and fluid! Your style is fascinating. What can I say😍. The music is soothing as well. You are my inspiration 💖
Very meditative and inspiring❤
Be more inspiring. Take. A. Chance. Wang Comma Paul

Pure bliss. Thank you. ❤🙏🏼
Very nice demonstration @paulwangsg ! Sketching is also accepting our surrounding as is and being part of it by connecting with it. It brings us to the Present instantly.
