During my darkest times as a senior in college, Uriah Heep was that strange band that saved me. The messaging in the lyrics and metal approach to music was my saviour.
Gotta ask yourself one question, why are Uriah Heep not in the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame? With Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, I attended the Magicians Birthday! What a party! Bands like Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Uriah Heep will never be seen again. Thanks to the archives of TH-cam this music will never die. It will always be a part of someone’s life!
I've listen to rock and progressive music since 1971. Never have I understood how Byron has not been properly acclaimed for the contribution he made to both that era and the times since.
This era was the greatest for Uriah Heep. Every other track was catchy emotional and pure music quality back then. Thanks for all you vibes and emotions did you gave us 🙏🙏🙏
I grew up with Uriah Heep and Purple and they sing and play with a soul you can feel it. Unlike now the soulless trash of i shouldn't call it even a music nowdays

Each played their part for me as well. Yes, such a variety and yes, I enjoyed them all. And the music was great and talented. All that goes without saying. However, few ever had difficulty rating Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, and Black Sabbath as the “big three,” while completely dismissing Uriah Heep. Uriah Heep was not even in the discussion. I own albums from all four bands. About seven from the big three(?) combined, and about 25 from Uriah Heep. Uriah Heep’s music resonates with me and to me is better than any of the other bands. I said better. That is my story and I am sticking to it. Call it an opinion. I prefer to call it a fact.

You write, I never saw them in concert. My loss. I did 3 times early 70s on one occasion when David Byron collapsed on stage at a Newcastle City Hall concert and cancelled the gig because he was drunk. In my opinion Byron was the best vocalist U H ever had. RIP DB
