Thank you so much for this video. Dealership wanted to charge me $800 to replace both head lamps. I used this video, plus a sale on Amazon, and did it myself for less than $25. Also, thanks to this tutorial, took me approx. one hour start to finish. Piece of cake.
Thanks for the video. Dealer quoted over $500 to change one bulb. Decided to take a chance on doing it myself. Passenger side is a bitch. Taking the airbox out was no big deal but getting the bulb to lock in took 20 minutes of swearing. But so far so good.
Wise choice! So far; my Amazon lights have been perfect. No complaints whatsoever. If they burn out today, I’m still to the good. Passenger side was way harder than the driver side and you’re right, it’s not really the air box - just getting the light in the hole! Thanks for the comment and for watching!
Make sure you twist the white part. It won’t come out unless you twist it, I think counterclockwise. Once you “click it” loose, it’ll come out straight backward.
Just came back to try again tonight. I did end up getting it out, the white part was unscrewed but unlike yours, my cord wasn't long enough to actually pull it out of the housing at all so I had to unplug it with one hand inside the housing then push down to plug the new one in. But, I did just get both changed! Thank you!
@CarrieElley hooray! Good job and thanks for the update. I’ve done that many times - come back to something later with a fresh mind and it all works out. Glad you got them changed! You saved yourself some money.
Definitely not helping put the light back in. It won't stay in, and the white cap needs to be pressed in enough for it to rotate. Was at it almost half hour trying to put 1 light in

Glad to be of help! That’s crazy - $800. Nice buy on Amazon too.
Great video! Thanks for posting, got the same lights and on the install, I got lucky with the passenger side bulb, it popped right in!
LOL! Yes, lucky! Mine fought me the whole time 😅 thanks for writing!

How are the lights holding up long term?
Still like brand new! I’m very pleased with them.

I tried for a half hour to get the bulb assembly out of the housing and just could not. Feeling defeated & annoyed.

How do you remove the plastic ring?
@@lizardking3268 very carefully - it just pops off. Push it off.
@@williamtunnell thanks! I got it off. Thanks for your video! Saved me lots of money!
@lizardking3268 glad to hear it!
Not seven hours?
