Thanks for this video. We own a Jeep and are empty nesters now. So, we want to get outdoors! We are considering one of these type setups. One with those attachable annex rooms would be so nice. They make great extra room for getting dressed and ones potty situation at night. Because let’s face it, no female wants to wander off in the dark to go potty. Well, this female don’t! So good info to know. Thanks for posting.

I would like an explanation as to what made these the 3 best. Did I miss this? Why are they better than say an Alu-Cab or a James Baroud?

Money, people equate more money for higher quality. iKamper, Roofnest and others are really nice tents! But you can find other people doing similar things lika MIA tents that do the same thing are are super high quality tents.

I'm with you---I'd rather have an Auto home, Baroud or Alucab....

Because those are more high end tents that are more for glamping rather than roughing it out

I really like the iKamper Skycamp rooftop tent. Though I never heard of Roofnest I like their roof top tent.

feels like a generic list of tents,
    was anything tested or compared?

No Tepui? The iKamper rooftop tents are great but you should have included a Tepui or Yakima. Both brands make great rooftops.

This doesn’t explain to me which rooftop tent model is durable enough to withstand torrential rainstorms with high winds type of weather.

very concerned that none of them tells you just how waterproof they are......what is the Hydrostatic Head rating? I live in the UK where it can rain a lot......I have spent £100 on a Vango tent with 5000 HH which I bet is far greater than these tents which will cost you £$£$£$£$..........Be carful with your money, being even more carful with the equipment you buy for camping.......
