Actually I wonder if it's messed up on a fatter Sim because they only tested it on skinny Sims. I know that's probably a massive reach but they did that massive BG3 character creator data thing where it turned out the "average" player character was literally just some random-looking white guy.

I think sims who aren't placed in a lot will show as "Not Shared" to give the illusion they don't want to share their hometown, when in fact they are not even placed anywhere.

That "flower shop" is 100% a small rabbit hole building. Probably the most you can do with it is click and buy a bouquet. As far as "describe self as", maybe it ties into sim's being able to dump you. If they're romantically turned on by specific traits, and you lie that you have that trait, then once you start dating and they realize you were lying they'll dump you, maybe?
I also fear that the statement about fixing the bugs was just pre-pack damage control, and then once they get their sales from this EP they'll never speak of the bug fixing team again.

I've had a sim die from a heart attack (anger) when he caught his wife cheating and you can woohoo in closets from the get together EP... you can also serenade sims and with high school years you can have a sweetheart dance ?? What is new except some new clothes, furniture and the wonky dance
Literally what I thought - every new clip “revealing” a new feature fell flat for me cause it’s something we already have in the game. It looks like there’s maximum 2 new kiss animations - which barely even count as a feature IMO. I know console players exist but there’s already a mod for every feature in this trailer that probably does it better 🤷♀️
Tehnically, serenading is part of base game, BUT you need to have a maxed skill in either a musical instrument or something similar (not singing tho, none of that in base game). That nitpick aside, this is yet another pack I shalt sail the high seas for only to wonder if it was worth it. Sigh.
i mean, if this pack will work (lol), people who don't own 2 other packs can now have the similar interactions from both in one pack, if u know what i mean. i refuse to believe the majority of people are buying every pack as they come out, but idk

You know what, the wonky ass dance being so low quality is peak classic sims though. That’s something that will be remembered like the vibrating heart bed, the sofa make out (really just the entire make out interaction in TS2), and whatever awkwardly hilarious thing was in TS3 that escapes my mind.

I'm not sure, it's difficult to see. The others I'm fairly sure about, though, because I use them a lot lmao
they usually only use objects from base game + the new pack... so why are all these items in the trailer? that's so strange & i hadn't even noticed before. have they given up on just the base game + whatever's new for new releases ??

I really hope the attraction system is thought out and has negative effects for my sims. I'm so tired of everyone who is single being an eligible and excited marriage mate for my sims.
The dating app doesn’t appear to have physical preference features, but I do like how he seemed to go for the same type of woman aesthetically. Like, he was always with an older more pear shaped woman.
For now, I just want Sims to f*****g stop entering my home and drinking water for no reason. That is so annoying! I blocked their entrance in all of the doors, but they still get in. And the staff does it too instead of cleaning, tending the garden, or taking care of the animals.
Uh, and am I the only one whose neighbours appear in the house to do that herbal potion in the outdoor grill?

I remember back when the shop page for horse ranch was leaked and it said that it was an EP and I thought, "no way they are going to fill an entire EP with just horses, the leak must be inaccurate" and then Horse ranch was officially announced, as an EP, and it felt like a slap to the face. They revived SP only to immediately kill GP, it's all either just kits, kits with 2-3 functional gameplay objects that they call "stuff packs", and EP

Also, I think this is about the split attraction model, and aro/ace representation.

Many people consider that still the same thing - a person who is your ideal romantically can be the same ideal for woohoo.
It makes more sense to me to say that someone might be only all about visual/sexual attraction while another might be about the whole person package before they consider feeling attracted in anyway - both very normal and not a new thing. But in any case in the sims it doesn't work, isn't likely suddenly going to start working in the sims with this EP and is just yet another annoying thing to click in the social menu.

Based on the blogpost, it looks like there wont be any physical attraction, but how my sims are supposed to be attracted to someone they are not into physically... like if my sims is ''turned-on'' by a sim but they dont fit what they like, like body mass, fat,hairyness etc... how I am supposed to take this attraction system seriously, it means that they will be attracted to sims they dont like physically and it makes no sense... I guess I wont get this surface level pack.

"Not shared" must mean that the Sims chose not to share their residence location!
I think its more likely an unhoused sim because there’s always a bunch of those in game so instead of marking said sim “homeless” they put is as “not shared” to stick with the immersion. Either that or Gallery Sims (since they live in gallery cloud) or both

Ok, so that they had to make a statement saying "Oh, we know there are problems, we promise we'll fix it!" is a problem in and of itself. The only way to make sure there are not issues will be to test with ALL packs rather than just basegame which is in their terms and conditions that they do. I didn't hear them say they are going to change that. All those abandoned systems from all the different packs just don't all work together. But literally they say it just before announcing a new pack to reassure people that this pack isn't going to have the problems of others because "we know there are problems and we promise we'll fix it" also implying that the pack will help with fix things. They didn't say it that way but it is implied in timing and such. But I'm pretty sure I've heard that kind of promise before from them and not buying it. I seriously will not be loading Sims 4 until I hear from a reliable source that it is FIXED. Not one second sooner.
Finally, thank you for not blowing off these things. I literally watched a video (will not say their name) where a Sims4 youtuber said that if you take out all of your mods and just play the game "the way it was meant" then there is not any real problems. My jaw literally dropped. Firstly, I don't have mods, I have fixes, I don't download piles of hair and clothes and objects, I literally download only fixes for the game (Sims4 only, we won't talk about my cc in 2 and 3) and there are some things that do not have fixes to be had. And for ANYONE to say, especially someone who has a CHANNEL about NEWS for the Sims4 to say that mods are the problems in the game, basically "just take out your mods"? REALLY???? I don't think they actually play the game and are just saying they do and publishing "news". What a freakin' shill! Being all excited they are going to fix they game, literally sounding giddy about it, then later in the same video saying to take out your mods and it works "mostly" fine??? I wasn't subscribed, it came up in my feed, but REALLY? Just, huh? They are the definition of a EA shill.
All that to say this is why I watch YOU, because you tell it like it is, Satch. I don't even play Sims4 anymore and I watch you.
