This is a beautiful pattern that beginners really can do! Bravo for this pattern. I have already made both the hat and cowel for gifts, twice! Thank you for this video. It gives beginners the confidence to try to make this!
I made this hat and it turned out beautiful! Note: Make a swatch of the hat first by making a smaller version of the hat before you make the hat to make sure that it looks the way you want it. I had made changes from the video or the hat would of been too large. Make sure to measure the hat to your head while making it instead of relying on the video instructions or your hat will not be the correct size! Put the loom on the head while the hat is still on the loom for correct size of hat. The brim needs to be folded. brim is 3.5 inches (9cm) then I folded the brim so it is 1.5 inch (4cm). I used a different stitch than the video so you will have to measure while you are knitting). In order to do all of the different types of stitches in the hat without it being too large, I made the body of the hat 7 inches (18 cm) . The 7 inches in the body of the hat makes a nice fit (not slouchy) for adult woman's head. The purl stitches (above the brim) I made 1 inch. The middle of the hat where she instructs a repete of 4 rows (E-wrap and purl) was 4 inches. Important- This repete stitch needs to be the largest part of the hat. The purl on the top was 1 inch (2.5 cm). I made the top of the hat 1 inch. However, I used a different type of stitch. The hat looked uniform because the purl stitches in the body of the hat, the top, and the brim were all the same size (1 inch). The hat completed was 8 inches. Thank you for making the video Tuteate.
I followed your pattern as a beginner and it was easy to follow. Even after learning many more stitches this Romantic hat is my favorite hat fir babies, kids and adults!
Awesome tutorial! I used one strand of super bulky Lion Brand wool-ease thick & quick and it turned out too chunky for my taste. I’m going to try again with the yarn suggested! Love the design.
I have not made this yet but the cast on edge seems to have a nicer look to it. Most hat cast on edges are so loopy looking they have to be fixed. Thank you for posting the pattern
The tutorial is superb. 14 months ago ... I was sent this video by a gifted young woman and now making it the first time. Therapeutic and so satisfying 😌
I left both ewraps and did purls for the first row. The next row I brought over ewraps and rewraped, did purls. This way the ewraps were always visible.
Change the yarn color keep change color of yarn add the three color of the yarn like a rain bow color of the yarn six color of yarn will be pretty color of yarn
Hi Cindy! I am using 2 strands of a yarn that has color changes. I mean, I don't work color changes on this project, it is just that I am using a variegated yarn (I'm not sure if I understood you comment)
Hi! Thank you for your comment :) I used a big ball of a yarn called Schachenmayr Magic Knit (schachenmayr.com/en/yarns/magic-knit) and I took the 2 strand ends of 1 ball (I mean, I took the beginning of the yarn, and also the end of the yarn from the inner part of the ball). You could do the same using 2 balls of yarn at the same time, as you said :)
Could you possibly tell us the gauge of the yarn then we can determine what we need especially using 2 strands on the video please. I think this would help us. Thanks
Catherine German: at the beginning of the video, she shows the supplies needed. She's using a bulky weight #5 yarn, but note that she's Holding it DOUBLED! I hope this answers your question! Have a nice day, and stay healthy!!
Hi Kasey! Yes, I would do the same, but I would "leave" extra pegs at each side and alternate knit and purl stitch there, to avoid the sides to curl up
i love your videos! i make most items for family and charitable donations... and for myself! did i count the rows correctly for this pattern? i counted 57 with numbers given during instructions. thank you in advance
Hi Mandy! You mean why I worked the "cast-on round" wrapping just once in one direction and then going backwards? Because I like how it looks later, on this type of brim (the brim with the elastic stitch).
Hi Maria! Thank you, but I am not left handed. However, it seems I feel more comfortable working to the left while most people prefers working to the right, right? hehe And you are right, it really doesn't matter :)
Hi Brooke! my strands look thinner than "bulky", right? I had the same thought, but the yarn brand says it's bulky. I used a yarn called "Schachenmayr Magic Knit" schachenmayr.com/en/yarns/magic-knit
I made this using 2 strands of #5. It came out way too big! Should I decrease the number of rounds in the body? Or has anyone tried this with two strands of #4? I’m afraid if I use one strand of #6 it will be too bulky.
I made this last night using #6 on 36 peg loom. Width is good but yes, way too long. I guess it's supposed to be a slouchie hat? The brim was 3 3/4, way too big for a brim also. And I even decreased the body by 5 rounds and still very large. I don't think I'll be doing this one again.
Jena Wenger so glad I read this. Idk if it’s supposed to be a slouchy. Looks fitted to me. I’m going to hope for the best and reduce it too. I think the brim should only be 2.5” the body 7.5/8 depending on the size of the persons head.
Hola!

I’ve made this one and it’s one of the prettiest I’ve done so far
Love your work! It's just beautiful! I made an ewrap hat for my 10 month old great great niece and she had it on this evening! It made me feel proud
So glad to know that, Ellen!! ^_^ (congratulations! great great niece!!!)
Great great niece…that’s amazing! 🧶👍🏻. I’m proud of you, too!
I love all of your demonstrations, I think I can now make better products than I have in the past. Because you show how to do it
Thank you Vivian :) So glad to know you find my tutorials helpful!
I just made this hat. It is beautiful. I love the design
I'm glad you have come back to youtube. I missed your videos
Thank you so much Sydney! ^_^
Gorgeous! Your bind off for closing the hat looks so neat...without using all the methods to decrease crown!
Thank you so much for your positive feedback ^_^
Beautiful. I'm going to have to start making these for Christmas
Thank you!!! (next Christmas? Already? Wow!!!)
Awesome tutorial! I used one strand of super bulky Lion Brand wool-ease thick & quick and it turned out too chunky for my taste. I’m going to try again with the yarn suggested! Love the design.

Therapeutic and so satisfying 😌
Looks nice with the colors you chose. Thank you
What a beautiful romantic hat. I love the color combo. Thank you for sharing this.
Thank you so much Gerri! ^_^
Love this! I'll need to convert it to a 36 peg loom though. The 41 is always too big for me unless I use uknit.
Thank you for a great hat how to, I love it!
What yarn is that? Did you double a #5? Beautiful and easy.
Love the hat! Like the way you cast on with this one.
Thank you so much, Cathy! ^_^
Luv it...the cowl as well! Thank you for both tutorials 😀
Thank you so much! So glad to know you liked them!

I enjoy your tutorials, love this hat! Thank you....
Thank you so much for your feedback :)
Your purl technique is silky smooth! I’m slow & awkward with the purl stitch! 😂😂😂
I just finished mine today and it looks very cute! Thanks for the inspiration.
Great! So glad to know that! Are you on Instagram? I'd love to see a picture of your result

Beautiful 😊. I'm definitely going to make this. Thank you.
Thank you Susan ^_^ Hope you enjoy it!
I’m new to loom knitting. How did you get the double strands? Just use two balls of yarn at the same time?
Hello my friend as usual you dont disappoint with your creations luv it what yarn did u use and where can I get it?
Hi Mkayah! Thank you so much :) I used a yarn called "Schachenmayr Magic Knit", and I buy it online
Bjs do Brasil que lindo trabalho
Muito obrigada! :) Bjs!
would you do the same if it was worked in the flat... love love this
Hi Kasey! Yes, I would do the same, but I would "leave" extra pegs at each side and alternate knit and purl stitch there, to avoid the sides to curl up
If I go to the right instead of to the left will it come out the same? Its SOOOO much easier for me to go right. Ty in advance!
Mari Ruiz it doesn’t matter which direction you go
@@Scorpio_Love_11 Tyvm! I was doing a different 1 like a month ago and went right instead of left it it came out horrible! Lol
Can you show me how to knit a romantic shawl on a loom?
Beautiful
Thank you Kathy :)
Que hermoso voy a comenzar a hacerlo👍👍🌹🌹
Muchas gracias!
I'm working on a 47 peg loom. What do I do for the last peg? Right Now I am on the purl/skip row. Thanks!
What is the beautiful yarn? Love ur videos
i love your videos! i make most items for family and charitable donations... and for myself!
did i count the rows correctly for this pattern? i counted 57 with numbers given during instructions. thank you in advance
After the cast on it was knit one purl one
After the EW of 1 row you go in the opposite direction to complete. Why do you do that? Anyone can answer. Thanks
Can this be done on a 48 peg 5/8 gauge loom
Can you use bulky 6 yarn instead of 2 strands?
Hi Reina! Yes, you can :)
You used the lovely yarn doubled. What is the name and weight? Thanks for another beautiful item.
Hi Debra! Thank you so much :) I used a yarn called Schachenmayrn Magic Knit: schachenmayr.com/en/yarns/magic-knit
I love this yarn what is it called? This pattern is amazing too!🙏🏻❤️🧶🧶
Are you using 2 #5 bulky like it says oin your video. That looks like thin yarn. Is that why you doubled it???
I tried your pattern but I think my look pegs are to close together. What size of round loom is in the video. How many pegs?
Just asking in the video it says bulky #6 yarn but the video yiu have 2 strands whuch are tiny. Is that 2 #4
Hi. Can I just use 1 strand instead? :P
I have a terrible time with the yarns twisting around each other as I work. Is there a secret for preventing this?
Can you please explain why you went back with the cast on instead of going the "normal" way ? Thank you ! Love you videos :)
Because shes left handed. It really doesn't matter witch way you go it's a personal preference.
Hi Mandy! You mean why I worked the "cast-on round" wrapping just once in one direction and then going backwards? Because I like how it looks later, on this type of brim (the brim with the elastic stitch).
Hi Maria! Thank you, but I am not left handed. However, it seems I feel more comfortable working to the left while most people prefers working to the right, right? hehe And you are right, it really doesn't matter :)
how many pegs do you think for a 7 year old girl? thank you so much!!
Hi Roberta! I would use the 36-peg round loom for a 7-year-old girl :)
Silly question, but did you use 2 strands of bulky yarn? Or 2 strands of smaller yarn?
Hi Brooke! my strands look thinner than "bulky", right? I had the same thought, but the yarn brand says it's bulky. I used a yarn called "Schachenmayr Magic Knit" schachenmayr.com/en/yarns/magic-knit
Would a 36 Peg Loom also work for this?
Yes it would :) (you just ignore what I do on the last peg, my #41 peg)
I made this using 2 strands of #5. It came out way too big! Should I decrease the number of rounds in the body? Or has anyone tried this with two strands of #4? I’m afraid if I use one strand of #6 it will be too bulky.
I agree. I had the same experience even after reducing the number of rounds by 3 in the body of the hat
Hola!!. Este tutorial está en español?. Y de cuántos puntos es el telar?. Se ve hermoso el gorro
Hola!
