    Your videos are incredibly good and easy to follow. I've never seen anyone present a software's features and the workarounds for the features it's lacking as well as you can. Do you have videos on controlling layers properties separately in different MODEL viewports? Say if I wanted to view certain layers in a 3D view and different layers in a 2D view at the same time side by side. Or is it even possible to do Civil 3D 2018?
    Thanks for all you share.

    Impresive use of civil 3d tools. Eng. Bartels.!!!
    I didnt see the motivating way to use such range of options to achieve one goal.
    I am trying to keep UP with your videos in your blog.
    We wish you continue teaching a World of students eager to fully understand and apply this wonderful software.
    I know is to much to ask. But I wish you can model a full project of a rural road from the very beginning to the very end. In your unique way of teaching.

    Hi Jeff,
    thanks for the video
    could I have just one question? Is there a difference between selecting the lines as "Drawing Objects" and "Breaklines"?
    Thank you in advance!

  • @andykeller4983
    @andykeller4983 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You don't have to do the data shortcut trick. If you go to surface properties -> definition -> build -> and change the "Copy deleted dependent objects" to yes you can delete all you want.

    Great video. Just one thing to note though. Isolating layer did not hide my other layers for me. It just locked them. Selecting would however for some reason also select the layers I did not want selected.

    • @JeffBartelsCAD
      @JeffBartelsCAD  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      At the command line, type LAYISO and press enter. Choose "S" for settings and press enter. Select "Off" rather than "lock and fade". Hope this helps!
