Solid improvements. Where can I offer ideas for the future as a daily user? Here are some: What would speed up my workflow is a 'duplicate layer' function. The ambient occlusion is very hard to work with. Surface normals don't function properly on surfaces that have been mirrored over an axis. And we need a shadow catching material.
When will we finally see an improvement on the "Hardware Shade"? The current status is like 10 years old!? It's alway hard to discuss design models with dark materials. It's not showing a realistic impression of shapes and materials. And also a good drag&drop material library is needed. Pls implement a realtime raytrace engine like Blenders Eevee etc.
if Alias were to adopt true path-tracing rendering a la Cycles in Blender and also provide a bridge to BlenderBros MaterialWorks for based mats/texturing, then the machine driving the world may stop. only for a second in a nod of hypergolic achievement to Autodesk. we are a design-engineering co that drives F360, Plasticity, and Blender. perhaps Alias, one day.
Hi Garri, in case you have attended the Autodesk University, you might be aware that the Alias team is already working on a UI change. But I cannot tell you at the moment when it will be released. But it will not take long. ;) Thanks, Florian

Hello, in case of the whats new videos, we are generalizing maybe a bit too much and just talking about all new features. We might maybe need to specify the different flavors of Alias a bit more in the futire. Thanks for the idea. In the case of the 2023 whats new video, you will find all new features and tools in all three different flavors of Alias. So in Concept, Surface and AutoStudio. Thanks, Flo

UI Overhaul when? Something like Fusion 360.

There's no such thing as Alias 2023 on Autodesk.
