Nobody does cars better than the British. '69 Porsche 911 is my dream car, but Brits have understated elegance about them. I drove an MG midget in the 70s, that's as close as I ever got to that awesomeness.
9:13 the first few times it was filmed the stunt driver couldn't get the car to unearth itself, to roll which you should be able to do, *but our car was very stable so he couldn't.* Task failed successfully
That's why I hated this scene. It was painfully obvious the Aston couldn't roll over there- practically no car could have... I you watch some radical Moose tests, it's actually not that easy to roll even a genuine off road car, and then a good driver should be able to save it. I hated this scene, they should have been a crash in the tree or something. That would have been much more realistic.
Ian Fleming always had James Bond drive a Bentley. The upper management of Bentley were not interested in being part of James Bond movie in 1964. David Brown the owner of Aston Martin was interested being involved with the James Bond movie when the producers of James Bond reached out to Aston Martin in 1964.
1987 V8 Vantage It probably wasn't intended as such, but to me, the Goldeneye chase is a nod to the Aston DBS and Ferrari Dino chase in the pilot episode of The Persuaders in the same location. Roger Moore in an Aston which is a reason why he never drove one as 007. But then, we were given the Lotus Esprit, so no great shame. The next Bond in an Evija would be a game-changer. Ian Fleming did put Bond in an Aston in at least one of his novels (a DB2/4, I believe) so that's where the association actually started.
He mentioned quite specific circuimstances, like narrow twisty mountain road, and a specific driving technique. In real life, on that kind of roads, especially going downhill, there's lots of cars that in competitive sport beaten cars they normally should have had no chance of beating. In rallying, a car that uphill is in the last 10, downhill can be in top 10.

Despite being a half century old the DB5 still looks new and modern despite being made in the 1960s originally for Goldfinger
DB5 is a classic but it looks anything but modern, that's an absurd claim
I love the two DBS's (2006/2008), those are #2 only to the unequaled DB5. Of course the crystal key wasn't available until the 2009 for production cars.
Incredible that an Aston Martin directive doesn't know that the car used in "GOLDFINGER" wasn't a DB5, it was a DB4 series 5.
Nobody does cars better than the British. '69 Porsche 911 is my dream car, but Brits have understated elegance about them. I drove an MG midget in the 70s, that's as close as I ever got to that awesomeness.
Imagine making your car so good a fake stunt can't be pulled.
The DB9 V12 Vanquish is my favourite!
9:13 the first few times it was filmed the stunt driver couldn't get the car to unearth itself, to roll which you should be able to do, *but our car was very stable so he couldn't.*
Task failed successfully
These are timeless

How appropriate that the new Aston Martin's had to have their frames..... Bonded!
1987 V8 Vantage
It probably wasn't intended as such, but to me, the Goldeneye chase is a nod to the Aston DBS and Ferrari Dino chase in the pilot episode of The Persuaders in the same location.
5:20 that’s a big statement my friend
"Bonding Frames"
*Nice*
Great video! Not sure about the claim that the DB5 could beat the F355 but we'll forgive his biases. 😆
@@SparrowNoblePoland yeah I know, I watched the video. And there would be no circumstances where the Aston would be faster. The F355 would be faster in the corners and on the straights. And the brakes especially would be vastly superior.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this video. 😊 Thank you Marek Reichman.
Nobody really mentions that the first James Bond Aston appearance was really the DB3 in the Goldfinger Novell
I thought it was the DB MkIII ?
British Author Ian Fleming Said To Producer Broccoli On Set Goldfinger "This Would Make A Terrific Toy Car"..CORGI Made It Possible.
I grew up loving the car gadgets. I had the DB5 wired remote control toy car with an ejection seat. Great video and presentation. 🇦🇺 😊
V8 Volante looks like a Mustang fastback that went to Art school in London, beautiful car
The vanquish my favourite
Aston Martin is still my dream car
11:25 this reminded me of captain america choosing the vibranium shield
Yeah, I'd say the DB5 is perfect.
Great Presentation and Narration.
Loved it!
Aston Martin and James Bond what a combination!🇺🇸
Brilliantly arranged and informative video !!
The Oscar India V8 is still the most beautiful Aston’s ever!!
all the people asking "what about the other cars", like this isn't literally the aston martin CCO. why would he talk about anything else. if anything it's the video title that's misleading
Coming art of a pandemic and cost of living crisis his guy its the nail. What a man.

Very informative video. It makes me appreciate the James Bond films and the Aston Martin brand even more, even though I haven't actually watched a single Bond film yet.
Another fantastic video
the vanquish is a sick car
