    Great demo! I also use leather conditioner on my LV vachetta when needed. I have used vinyl cleaners/conditioners, like Meguiar’’s or Armor All, to revive old LV canvas. Some have freaked out when I’ve told them that the canvas coating is just plastic. Sure, you can ruin an expensive bag if you don’t do your research before cleaning, but there’s weirdness about the LV mystique that makes some people think that the materials that go into making these bags are sourced from pink unicorns living on the Island of Sparkle Puff.

    I have a old vintage bag with cracks on the leather. Before cleaning I first use conditioner?

    👋 hi. Have you noticed any tarnishing to hardware from using this conditioner?

    • @ashxlreviews
      @ashxlreviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Have you ever used the Lexol conditioner? As you used the Lexol cleaner I thought you would use the conditioner?

    • @ashxlreviews
      @ashxlreviews  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Nope, the conditioner is not designed for vachetta leather. I did lots of research and I didn't think it was as good compared to the chamberlain.

    • @letmein373737
      @letmein373737 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok thank you, I will try and get the chamberlain conditioner.😊

      I don’t suppose you know which number conditioner is best please I noticed they’ve got different numbers on?🤔😊

      @@ashxlreviewsWhat about Lexol's neatsfoots conditioner? It's supposed to be safe for light colored leather. Was considering buying but not sure.

    Do you still have to condition if you’ve only done the basic cleaning? Or just if doing the deep cleaning?

    • @ashxlreviews
      @ashxlreviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It honestly depends on how old the bag is. If it's still new, I'd say you shouldn't for basic cleaning. If it's an older bag I would apply the conditioner.

    Great video. What type of tape did you use to protect the lining?

    • @ashxlreviews

      It's Scotch Blue Tape.

    So, just got my vintage Alma back from LV, had all the leather replaced. I sprayed it with Apple Guard and now I'm wondering if I should have conditioned it first :( Regardless it's done, but maybe I'll attempt to condition it in 6 months... before I apply Apple Guard again. Any suggestions?

    • @ashxlreviews
      @ashxlreviews  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you got all brand new leather, I'd just spray it with Apple Guard and be done. I wouldn't condition the leather, unless it was deep cleaned.

    What do you use to clean the canvas on the LV?

    • @ashxlreviews
      @ashxlreviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just distilled water and a microfiber towel. Nothing more or else it would be too harsh on the canvas.

    How long after deep cleaning do apply conditioner?

    • @ashxlreviews
      @ashxlreviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would wait 24 hours for the leather to fully dry.

  • @mofromupside2573

    I only see you conditioning but not deeply cleaning ? If you clean first and than condition u will have it last longer

    • @ashxlreviews
      @ashxlreviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I already shared lots of videos deep cleaning the strap and every other part of the bag. Thanks.
