I used a smaller diameter drive shaft tube. Helped with oil pan clearance. I also used corvette motor mounts.

What diameter did you go with? I’m about to make the custom drive shaft..

@@ludwigseeley6359 I think it's about 2" in diameter. I also used 1350 ujoints at the tcase end for a smaller diameter their. Also I would recommend making the exhaust 1.75" or 2" Dia off off of the headers until they come together to a singe. I ran 2.5" and it's extremely tight. Once they come together at the muffler I went to a single 3". The exhaust can get very hot on a LS under load.. so anything rubber or plastic within 3 to 6" will need protected. Also remember on big bumps your bump stops will squish a bit. So plan for that. I also had to clearance the trans pan a bit. For the shifter I used a trailblazer shift cable using a bracket I made off of the tcase mounting bolts. The shifter pivot length is critical to get the shifter throw correct. I think my motor sits about 1" back further from yours. Dakota digital sells a module to make your Toyota tach work with the ls. I put the Toyota oil pressure sender in place where the gm sender is on the back of the valley using various adapters.

Hi Ludi, great to see you back. Just curious, I'm guessing bubble levels must work the opposite way up there in Canada to here in Australia? Might be a northern/southern hemisphere phenomenon 🤣👍🇦🇺

When someone on the internet says "fits up pretty easily" expect to take it with either a pinch of salt or a bag ... maybe even a special delivery of cut salt stone blocks, you know, for those special over the arm drops. Unless some small company started making bracketry for an exact science swap, you can't trust word of mouth, even with pictures. Because Bob is not the same as Joe, and even then, there's easy and "easy", "easy" being phoned in so hard USSR heard it over the radar array.

Interesting project and I take it gasoline must be cheaper than in the UK because here that would no doubt have a LPG conversation on it 👍🏻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

So did you keep the stock driveshafts? What did you do for the cross member?
