Of course, it is also not really possible to avoid plastic when doing makeup but that is not her fault but the companie‘s. She‘s doing the best she can and more than 90% of the people.

I love how versatile she is and she clearly markets that - she can do kid's parties, environmental org and cause events, high end gigs, music videos, consultation, and she creates her own content as well. And all of her certifications! She's an expert for sure.

If it's her own business she probably makes a couple hundred a gig depending on length of time and what they want. For bigger events she could probs make up to $1,000 a gig. But probs between $200 - $500 normally.

I think the main issue is that, in our modern crisis, there's not a lot of job security in the performance field. I guess it could give her more time to send with her son and focus on the environment, but it's sad that her career has definitely been impacted.

Grandparents bought an old hunting castle and we visited them regularly. When the kids at kindergarten and school were asked what she did on the weekend, they answered "We were visiting our grandparents in their castle."
They got really sad and angry, because they were told not to lie like this. Until we explaned it to the teachers😅

Absolutely not too late!! There are some amazing adult ballerinas to follow on Instagram. Flexibility is easier when you are younger, but still attainable as an adult :)

The last time I swam with my eyes open was when I was at my grandma’s pool and the chlorine made my eyes hurt and I cried (I was a dumb 6 year old child who thought I could see in the water since I saw people on TV and movies in water with their eyes open, which made me very confused)

i'm sorry but why couldn't you just type out the word "stand?" Like, I just don't understand why we are deciding now days to just cut letters off of words and generally destroy the english languages grammar, punctuation and structure. I have even seen people type sentences like this: "for your that time of the everyday." Instead of: "For you it is that time of the month everyday." Then they would get mad at people for not understanding them. Then people think its okay to just drop letters off of all words and say things like: "Wt tme is?" or "dis thgs suc."

I really love seeing other mermaids who care about the ocean. Believe it or not, many mermaids do NOT care about the fish.. I swim in an aquarium with lots of beautiful tropical fish and am very careful to research makeup and costume pieces that I use (to ensure the fish are happy and safe) but in the past many others were purposefully putting on unsafe glitters, lotions, etc. Even after being told it was bad for the tank. Those mermaids eventually got fired (thankfully). I just cant imagine putting my vanity above the wellbeing of the fish. We are in THEIR space.

They have Glitters that exist now, that aren’t harmful to the environment. Lush uses a seaweed based glitter for that purpose.

Devon Young they call it seaweed based but I believe it’s just synthetic mica that is bonded with a seaweed agent so it’s ethically sourced and biodegradable. Definitely cool although I guess it possibly wouldn’t hold as well in makeup.

And instead of tampons or napkins, use cloth napkins or a menstrual cup instead so we don't always add trash into the landfills/oceans. :)

Oh I almost drowned a few times when I was little and now I'm the only person who knows how to swim in my family, when I moved I noticed we had a public pool so I taught myself how to swim :-)

I wasn't a great swimmer before being a mermaid. Turns out my size 4 feet are useless in water.. but fins are so much easier for me to use.

You can do it!! I was super scared of the water when I was younger and it took me a while to learn how to swim, but once I did, I became a strong swimmer - and now I’m a scuba diver!

theres many videos of mermaids, they are cool and stuff but its like paddling in the pool, singing, etc, meanwhile this badass mermaid is like, i know CPR, first aid, im a lifeguard, i free dive, scuba dive, marine ecolgy certified, just learnt to swim 4 years ago. Super badass.
