There's something so incredibly cosy about being in one of the only safe cities in the Commonwealth, browsing for new weapons before catching dinner at Power Noodles and heading to the inn for a quick drink before bed. All while the distant strain of buildings sounds eerily in the distance.
Those metallic sounds are strangely relaxing... until you realize those are the sounds of metal beam straining coming from giant buildings which have gone uncared for for over 200 years, and could come toppling down at any given minute. Gotta love the wasteland.
I adore the eerie sounds of Fallout. The creatures, city ambience, aaaaall with added rain? Absolutely love it. If I may make some requests? Fallout New Vegas DLC Honest Hearts has lovely rain and critters for relaxing nature ambience! Also, was veeeery curious if you could have some random robots wander near you during these Fallout 4 rain videos? There's something so special about those robotic sounds in every bot
Large buildings are designed to move/bend/sway with the wind. This makes them flexible, if large structures (especially skyscrapers) didn’t bend like this, then they would be rigid, and hard wind would snap the building like a stick. This sound means the walls are doing their job at protecting diamond city from the outside elements
I come back to this one alot, perfect to imagine myself breathing the cool rainy air as I stretch out on a dingy mattress over by the community garden. Many a great sleep have started thanks to this video, thank you for it and a bunch of the others
I love it! Doing sometimes the same thing, standing in Diamond City at the highest point and just listening to the amazing sounds while watching the city. Thank you!
I've been playing for years now so pretty much any settlement you can think of. I can head over to far harbor and try to get a good rain recording, if I haven't already :D
I hate the radiated storms. Back in my day in Fallout 3 we didn’t have Radiated storms, it was no rain and it was dry and gloomy I also lived in Megaton
Maybe thermal expansion.. as temperature changes metal expands or contracts which makes noise.. it's a bit exaggerated in video games but I believe that's the inspiration
You could check to see if others have had the issue, meaning it could be a bug. I don't think rain is all that common, though, at least I don't notice it raining a whole lot whenever I play.
@@AmbianceMagic yeah i havent found anything on a it being a bug but it feels weird having clear weather all the time, i honistly think im just paranoid i broke somthing in the reinstall lol .

Shoutout to the guard that spent 1 hour of his life standing in the rain for our entertainment
Idk if that's how NPCs work lol

So peaceful. To think people used to kill each other for sport with swatters right on that very spot.

The Howling of the distant buildings makes me feel unsafe but at the same time protected from everything

To be honest the atmosphere in Downtown Boston as a whole is amazing, one of the few things they nailed with fallout 4.
i could fall asleep to this

this game has got me trough really though times and i want to thank it for that. love you fallout 4
I’ve always thought the creaking metal in fallout was relaxing ❤
I always love exploring settlements when it’s raining! Keep it up and thank you!
The part that really sent me to sleep was Sheffield asking for a nuka-cola. Pure serenity.
Diamond City's dinning area is way different in the concept art. I consider that version canon.
This is my comfort zone
Fallout 4 has amazing ambience
Wow man that was nice and quick. :o
Hope you'll get more visibility on TH-cam, and thanks for your work !

Even the buildings are groaning and crying out.
How does anyone sleep in this wasteland?
I will never forget that guard in the market with a baseball bat who wants a swatter but probably cannot afford it.

Diamond City's lights are LED's and the city and the lights are powered by generators, solar panels, wind power and rain and water power.
Hi, I have a request. Do you think you could do the Fens Street sewer ambience? Specifically, around the caves with the turrets in them?
Thanks :)
Sure, I could probably record that this weekend.
Thank you 😀
