George thank your dad I am really enjoying the general overview of the new defender as we will not be able to view the vehicle in Australia until October this year great stuff and enjoying the total review Alan
Good attempt, 6 out of ten. If you are unsure use soapy water. When i was learning to put stickers on cars 40 years ago. We were shown soapy water as you can move the stickers around and get rid of bubbles easily.
Get ride of that white square make that area all black. Go for white door handles and loose the silver front and rear. Two colours max on a car a lot tidier.

Looks good Simon, why don’t you do the two dry wipe boards on either side of the car as well. Unless you need them to write your shopping list on when you do the weekly food shop!
Yes - if you look we are working on a new design...Julian is testing it in the video...having said that... what started out a joke turned into a useful "mood board" and added some humour to our recent issues with the car....
That’s a 10 from me!!!! Maybe what you need is a precut wrap panel...maybe a water/lotion based sliding version to make it easier? Good work though!!😎😎😎😎
Hi, I just got my Defender HSE P400 a week ago. When I drove the car between 75 and 80 mph the passenger side A pillar was fluttering very loudly. I had to slow down because I was afraid it would fly off. Have you experienced this kind of problem on your Defender? If not could you please investigate and determine possible fixes? Thanks
Well done-try putting a multi piece Union Flag on the roof of a mini(real one) and peeling off the wrong side of the kit first,by mistake,so you have to put the bits on separately!Nightmare, but soapy water saved the day so they could be moved around.
well done but if you get a smack bubble stick it with a pin then smooth it down my wife was a lithographer and did this sort of thing all day but she is retired now
As somebody who is possibly worse at wrapping than you are Simon 🤣I've noticed that the hard top/commercial versions already have gloss black A pillars. Would you be able to supply these? They look so much better in black.
Hi Robert I have looked these up on the part number system and I have ordered some to see what they are like etc. Thanks for the idea and I will share the PN's in due course ! There were 2 PN's for early and laters models - I have ordered for the later and will see if they fit my early car.
@@L663 Hi Simon, sorry to trouble you but did you get the black A Pillars from Land Rover and where they OK? If they were OK are you going to be selling them or do you have the part numbers? Keep up the good work really enjoying the videos on the Defender👍🏻
That body coloured A-pillar and window square is an option on your build, under Exterior->Visual Packs->Signature Graphic on the Defender website. So the coloured pillars is an option you have to choose, and spent £155 on, instead of just leaving it unticked and keeping the pillar black when you're doing a custom build via the website.

powerfulukltd Well over there in the UK I guess a black roof doesn’t stifle the interior with oppressive heat as readily LOL I’m in Texas and the black roof was a bad idea, but that’s what the dealers have on their lots I think it’s standard on the L405 I don’t even remember but three or four months wait for your configuration to arrive wrong (which totally could have been my fault) will make you accept compromises like a black roof. The stuff I bought from you guys is awesome. It arrived well-packed and everything fits and functions great. I like your new ride, too. That’s a sharp looking truck. Keep safe and stay healthy and thank you for the good content. Very very useful on how to take some of this shit apart and put it back together.
When will all these cars with side mounding catch up to Mercedes or bmw and how they do theirs you legit just grab it and pull off never breaks anything and just goes right back on snug fit no problem

That's really nice and easy way to look it more old-school. Nice job!
Well that's settled. I'm subscribing to this channel. Can't wait to get my new defender in 3 years.
Looks absolutely glorious, well done
Hi 👋 This looks very good match with side mirror and side windows 💨 black frame 🖼 and went on the bonnet. Looks great 👍
Thanks 🙏

If you look carefully you can see Julian working on our cover for the side square ...
Looks 1000% better, well done!
Hey do you have by any chance the part number of the A-pillar Cap , the first part you removed in the video that covers the secret screw
That’s strange, the a-pillars are glued on the rr and rr sport I thought this would be the same! Maybe they’ve done that for the snorkel to go there?
What happened to the video where you collected your new Defender from the Land Rover dealership in Swindon?
MDA500 I liked that video as well.

Brilliant job lads!!
Can you please do a vlog on wrapping Christmas presents. Thanks. 😂 Leo H
Nice job, I think it looks much better in black
thanks - not great workmanship on our part but the over look is good !
Looks so much better in black than what LR released in body colour, what was the stylist look at when the decision was made😆😆
Probs order black ones from Land Rover direct?

The first was more beautiful and distinctive than usual.
Now it's normal.
What kind of screwdriver is that?

Hi - Do you have the snorkel fitted ? I did hear wind noise from the drivers side A Pillar but no fluttering.
@@L663 No I don't have the snorkel fitted. Thanks
I’ve had to replace mine twice now. Both times the mounding broke off.
well done as i have attempted wrapping before its a real ***** to do... anyway we need a source for side steps on our NEW defenders......
Quality 🤣 great instructions for cover removal thanks
No problem 👍I keep seeing your comments ...thanks !
Good choice definitely looking better.
That’s a noticeable improvement. I guess you could also wrap the square on the side as well ...
Plan is to offer 10 designs of wrap for the side panels... i get the car back tomorrow so Julian should be able to get cutting !
Big improvement, looks better for it.
Looks much better!
Great work
great improvement, white panel on the rear windows next.
That's the plan!
Looks way better. The Disco's have black A pillars (and the Rangies?), bit odd to colour these imo

I’d extend the white above and below the rear window box so there isn’t a gap and see what that looks like 👍🏽
Nice garage/workshop

You make a valid point
Change the Defender letters to white or loose them all together the small oval badge is enough. A set of black wheels would finish it off as well.
We are considering black..
Now looks like a Kia Soul! 😂

wrap that gawdaweful square.
