Broken Rear Axle On Golden Spike

- We got a call for a jeep with what sounded like a broken Rear differential. So Mike and I jumped in the buggy and headed to get it. We decided to take the buggy as the fastest way in to the vehicle. Also with it needing pulled out we figured we could use our new strap and make quick work of it. We deadpulled it all the way out and onto the trailer. I promise we aren't going to make every video an ad now, but we are really happy to showcase our new Trail Rope being used for what it was made for. Thank you everyone for watching and supporting us.

I think it's pretty cool that you are making these new ropes available to everyone. Too many people don't want to share their secrets to doing the job easier and safer. And as always great camera work and editing.
The trail class you guys always show is an example for all.
Picking up other people's trash, repairing trail damage, offering water to others, checking on anyone who looks like they might have some troubles.
Your entire crew are ambassador exemplar.
As a mountain biker, I really appreciate you asking those guys if they needed water 💧 👍🏼
I was thinking the same thing!
It's called empathy and awareness of others' situations.. Wish we could see it more
Great fellow. 👍🏻👍🏻
The jeepers in Moab are always offering water to mountain bikers and dirt bikers. Pretty awesome community out there.
@@seansteede It's true, a few years back I was out there with friends. Two friends decided to take a separate trail back, they got lost. They ran into some Jeepers that gave them some food and water and helped to get them pointed back in the right direction. I love the off-road community!
Rory .. my wife walks into my office and I'm watching this video .. (I've wheeled in the midwest for years with my '74 Landcrusher) and after a few minutes she says ... wow .. this guy (you) really knows his stuff .. he's using all his is tires !! I love my wife .. she's a good judge of character !
oh and in the first five comments
Been interesting watching the Buggy go from a "play thing" to a work horse 🙂 You have been the leader in the headphone communication set up and Fab Rats has followed suit... so important especially on these treacherous/difficult trails 🙂 Thanks for sharing 🙂
Yes 📢 #trailmater💚❣️ Nice camera angles💥 The trailmater rope is perfection! Your communication focus with your rescue driver, has always been impressive.
The 'turning driveline' shot was perfection!
Kinda creepy.. Like the vehicle can just take off at any moment. ;)
Holy crap! That was awersome! I’ve been up that wall a few times, that rope made that recovery look easy 😎
Hey Rory and team, thanks for keeping your videos the same format as always. I love the cool camera angles showing the rig work, the squeaks, moans, and bangs of the suspension working and bumpers doing their job, the lack of any sort of soundtrack other than the aforementioned, your amazing driving skill, it's just a fantastic combo. Keep up the brilliant work!
Your equipment and expertise never cease to amaze. Now your ten foot tow rope added to the arsenal is the cherry on top.
what's the best day of the week? any day that @TrailMater puts up a video. cameras performed really well it would seem. kudos to justin on the editing of the camerawork by mike.
Those camera shots of the underside, could watch that stuff all day, thanks for bringing us along on the adventure
You guys make it look soooo easy!! Great driving.
It’s amazing how smooth those ropes are compared to chain and cables. Rolling over terrain as rough as you guys were going looked a lot less jarring. I might have to get some on the East coast for snow and mud. As always I enjoy your videos, never miss one, thank you.
I know nothing at all about rock crawling except what I’ve learned from you Rory. But it seems to me that it’s one thing to do it in your own rig, but on an entirely different level to do it pulling another broken rig out. Beautifully done Rory.
What a PERFECT way to sell the world on your product!! Makin' it look REAL easy (even tho it's really NOT easy)
Matt might be the king of the dunes recovery but dang, you the king of the hard core recovery.
Rory is the King period!
@@kennethbrown8723 I enjoy the other channels, but Rory is a surgeon compared to the rest.
Man, that rope works well. It's an obvious improvement over a doubled up longer line.
I love the green rope and being a shorty 10 footer is perfect for jobs like this. It goes perfect with the buggy to.
Great camera work as usual ! Thanks for taking us along !
Perfect product demo video! This new rope is everything Rory wants from it for this particular recovery mode. 😎🤟
So if you’re getting corrected on the difference between motor and engine let’s get a few things figured out. Do we need to change the name of a MOTOR cycle to an engine cycle? Or what about motor oil to engine oil? Or what about how someone else can stick it where the sun doesn’t shine and the rest of us can keep doing whatever we want. I recall you saying that if they didn’t like how you take care of your business they could go try to do it their way.
I believe an engine is a subset, a type of motor. Engines "always" have moving parts that create locomotion While motors may have a chemical (or other) reaction that creates motion by Newton's 3rd law of an equal and opposite reaction.
... and then there is witchcraft and alchemy.
As defined, an engine converts energy into mechanical force or motion and is distinguished by its use of a fuel, whereas a motor is a more generic term for any device that converts any form of energy into mechanical energy. So while all ICE engines are also motors, not all motors (e.g. electric, hydraulic, etc.) are engines. (And that's why the DMV isn't just for electric cars, as all ICE vehicles are also categorized as _motor_ vehicles.)
This new fad of trying to claim ICE isn't a motor is a relatively new thing that the electric cult have tried to have accepted by the masses.
@@aussiebloke609 that is a good definition for the different types of propulsion systems but I’m not going to call my motorcycle an engine cycle. And for people who wants to correct me or any other person should not do it. I don’t see that it’s that important to change someone’s way of speaking just because.
@ 8:20 incredible demonstration you may not believe how often i have used inferior ropes and even chain 🙃
Rory and Mike acting as salesmen, I love it 😂 Great rope by the way 👍👌
"This rope? Mike, I'm glad you asked me that...."😂
From a mountain biker ... offering them water ... just amazing
I saw the video where you did the test run. It was really good. But the actual recovery with the rope that was the ultimate test and it proved that your design was perfect for what you do. Great video! Thanks for what you do and thanks for coming up with a new rescue tool for people to purchase.
Dudes! Incredible driving skills, both of you. Your videos could be used for training videos on high functioning teams! That buggy! And lastly, sweet new rope. Keep it up guys, long time watcher.
the new tow rope looks like a great tool to use!! Thanks for the videos
Oh, a new "buggy belly cam". I like that.
I thought for a minute I was gonna have to unsubscribe till Rory corrected himself and said engine !
That was a close call.
Just the ticket to get them out. The TrailMater rope is long enough to give the driver reaction time to get on the brakes without smashing into the back (no) bumper and spongy enough to bounce over steps on the trail.
Good job Allen.
Camera on the rear diff is awesome.. Can truly see the articulation.
Love It
They didn't call it the "Ford Engine company"! Great video Rory and Mike i'm liking the new rope. Can't wait to see you and Lilli driving the go-carts!
Boy that ole buggy is looking good with those tires on it
I love watching skill and finesse. And asking the bikes if they had water? Class act.
Rory and Mike have great communication as the recovery goes along. That has to make the job easier.
The production quality has improved dramatically, the camera angles, image quality, editing and sound are on point too. Kudos to Rory, Shawn and Mike.
Undercarriage videos of the suspension working are fabulous. The new rope is perfect.
I love how on many Rory's videos, the tires scrubbing and hopping translates to laughter in Closed Captioning. Too funny!
Mike gets some good camera angles
The rope delivered just as you thought it would!
Your team work…Rory’s driving skills and being able to spot from the tow vehicle and Mike’s understanding and skill in the Jeep.
It’s a beautiful thing to behold.
That scenery today was perfection.
This is my favorite time of year in Moab. Not too hot, not too cold, not too many people on the trails. :D It gets a little congested at other times.
Love the rope, too. That green goes beautifully against the red rocks, and is very visible which can be important. Yellow or orange would blend into the rocks, create a tripping hazard, etc.
I love that the rope is made in America. Loved watching the factory make them. Burley Idaho is a good place for that business.
I used to drive between Boise and Salt Lake City several times a year. If ever my old banger cars were gonna break down, they did it in Burley. Lol. My husband's cars did the same even before we met. Somethin in the air there. Burley definitely is a great place for tow ropes!
Mike, the moon is made out of green cheese tho...LOL!
You guys made that look way to easy.
thanks for filming m8er's
In today's episode, the debut of the Trailmator Trail Rope in a real recovery!!! On no left turn
Great video that explains a lot of things most people don't understand about doing a recovery in tight difficult obstacle trails!!!💪 Love the new 10' Yankum rope you are now offering to everyone!!😃
Awesome job guys again.
Rory the first time you pointed to the link of the description of the sale of the Rope👉🏽.
The second time you forgot.🤷🏽♂️🤨🤔😊🤙🏾👍🏽🤟🏽✋🏽😎🙋🏽♂️🚜
I like the axle cam.
Would have loved to see the pull through NLT going out. Great recovery and awesome to see the new rope in action!
The most entertaining infomercial ever
Rory casually driving through obstacles, pulling another rig, calmly telling the other guy what he wants him to do, while holding a camera n getting cool shots! Tell me who else can do it better?
Mike's camera work just gets better and better; at 1:20 panning left-right to pick up the buggy coming right-left is just artistry!
Rory's always laughing, but a few times there we saw the Rory serious-face; that new rope is an indespensible piece of kit.
My Rope and Super Loops will be here in Texas on Saturday. Looking forward to having a reason to use them!
Great show guys, what a office and thanks for the heads up on tow-rope
Amazing job and an amazing piece of equipment! Thank you so much for sharing with us
Great to see the new 10’r in action doing what it was intended to do!
You guys are always a treat to watch since you are full of tricks. And Rory is one hellofa driver.
I like the old Ram on the hood
That was cool to see the cameras capturing the cameras.
Thanks for the video guys
Rory, master of the rough country recovery.
I forgot to tell you I'm in Oregon where the trees get in the way of having beautiful rocks! I'm kidding, we have beautiful views but the views where you and Matt are are unmatched.
You sure do you like showing your skills. That’s cool how you walk it back and forth. You can’t learn that from the video. That’s why everyone says how good you are . So cool how much you’re channel has changed in a short time
GOOD JOB!
Do people really care if you call an engine a motor? They have been called "motor cars" for years. Seriously, they need to get a life. Keep up the excellent vids. Love them and your humour.
Works well, good idea to have a short one
The back axle camera was a fun ride today. I ducked a few times. Also, I bet Mike is a great fisherman. Shallow water trolling, he’d be great at keeping the bait just off the bottom.
Rory and Mike!
I think that was the smoothest decent down 'no left turn' I've ever seen!!
I never thought you would run over the rope, the length is perfect.
Glad you got a rope deal
Great addition to the team.
Won't ever replace Shawn and Mike, but darn close 😅
I must say that Yankum rope is incredible, but only because it's hook to that monster machine of yours.
Other machine may vary in monsterness 😂
Hey Rory & Mike !! Another great video with the ""NEW"" Yankum recovery rope !!! 🙂🙃😉😊👍👍👍👍👍
I would say Rory you are the pillar of the community
man you even made the wall look easy!
"internal combustion engine" 🤣🤣🤣 Keep em' coming Rory! 😎
omg - The beautiful sky, and scenery at 3:46. And the new yankum tow rope looks like it works great.
More than anything thanks for posting
Just wondering how many, If any, have gone over the edge at no left turn? Great stuff as usual Rory and crew!
Now all Yankum needs is a blue one for Robbie, and then dedicate the red one to Casey. Then they can run a competition to see what color they can sell the most of.
Love the rope Rory
Good stuff my friends. This is deff in the top 5 channels in my opinion and let's be real my opinion means everything lol.
Glad to see that the new rope works well.
Man you are amazing, I would never have believed you could pull that out of there.😊😊
I wish I had half the fabrication and off-road knowledge that you do!
That was really an excellent example of team work with exceptional rope,😊
That was an amazing job and you made it look like a walk in the park. Bravo!
What a beautiful place to work every day ❤
I have noticed that Mike is always in a stuck or broken vehicle. He must have some really bad luck! You guys are fantastic!! Thanks for the videos
Amazing camera work as always!
Looks like just the right amount of stretch to get the dead vehicle up an obstacle
You make them we watch time. Thanks for the views. I cant wait to visit Moab!
Ah, yes. An eternal perfectionist has joined the group providing correction between a motor and an engine. Love it. Lolololol!
Engage! Talk about smooth operators 😮
A shorter rope is definitely the way to go on technical trails. You've been demoing that for a while. Great scenery as usual. I've been calling ICE engines motors for too long to count. Electric motors... yeah, big block motor... also yeah. Some people just know what you mean.
As I remember it, an engine converts energy into mechanical force or motion and is distinguished by its use of a fuel, whereas a motor is a more generic term for a device that converts any form of energy into mechanical energy. So while all ICE engines are also motors, not all motors (e.g. electric, hydraulic, etc.) are engines. (And that's why the DMV isn't just for electric cars, as all ICE vehicles are also categorized as _motor_ vehicles.) This new fad of trying to claim ICE isn't a motor is a relatively new thing that the electric cult have tried to have accepted by the masses.
Big Rock Pecker Holes on that trail . Thanks for sharing !
That sure is a mighty, fine looking recovery rope! 👍👍
That worked out well.
Love the Moab sky and clouds. Good pull rope.
27 Oct, the weblink is up for the Ropes now, got my order in, thanks a lot Rory.
