      No. You didn't. There isn't a school for this. There isn't a set in stone method for doing any of these. There isn't a "right way", there is only recovered or not recovered, and trying not to damage it any more than it already is. But if its totaled already that doesn't matter.

    A trick that I've done with a bad bead at least on a lawn tractor is get a tie down strap, run it over the middle of the tread. Cinch it down and it puts pressure along the bead. Making it easier to get it to catch for airing up. Just a thought.

Grab a 2 inch ratchet tie down and wrap it around the outside of the tyre as tight as you can. Then move the tyre back and forth to help seat it. it should help while trying to inflate. I've been 4-wheeling since the 70's. One greatly useful tool was mounting a second hitch-receiver up front (they are available for many vehicles). It allows, when needed to drive trailers into very tight spaces easily --and with it our it front, you can see everything. And it's also become my method-of-choice for trailer boat launching. Hey maybe think about making a small tire blaster out of a air tank like I did years ago now for semi truck and mudding tires. Sets the head in seconds and no more dangerous flammables. Can sometimes also wrap a tie down straps around the center of the tread and tighten it while applying air and it will help set the bead most times. Thanks again for a great video and glad they were ok MORR

    Have you ever thought about radicing all the corners.And adding round tube down the sides of off-road trailer. It will help a lot with sliding off of obstacles.

    Seat Belts and keeping arms in are crucial safety items when it comes to these 50" Trail rated SxS and rock crawling! The little RZR actually didn't look to bad considering what it has been thru?

    • @scottcol23
      @scottcol23 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The first instinct most people have when tipping for some reason is to put your arm out to try to stop the roll... Ive heard of people loosing their arm. These type of RZR Trail rigs are great for 4wheeler ATV trails or Snowmobile trails out in the woods BUT they are very unstable.

      That one in particular is. Certain states have width restrictions for ATV's. The whole reason Polaris makes the "trail" model of the rzr is so that people in those states can use them on public trails. Basically they had to make a sxs with the same width as a 4 wheeler.

    Best upgrade I ever made was to remove the suspension, in the 70's, from my Race Car carrier. Intent was lowering it to prevent header drag. The car has suspension of its own & it subsequently rode very well. Never looked back.

    The difference between an off-road trailer and an ordinary trailer is that while you can tow with both, only one is set up for dragging to the destination.

    Towed a racing motorcycle all over the southeast with a trailer that had just truck tires for suspension. If you can add and remove air for the load, they work great.

    Very similar thing happened to me a few years back. Except it was a ford explorer and I was ejected out the driver side window. Rolled once and fell about the same distance as the RZR in the video. Lucky I came out on the uphill side, very lucky my passenger had her seatbelt on, and even more lucky to be alive. This happened when I was a relatively new driver, and I like to think I have learned and am better because of it. If there's anything I would like other people to take from this and other stories like it, it would be to wear your darn seatbelt.
