This is quite an interesting specimen of a computer. There aren't many of those things left. Every day, I frequent Salvation Army and mom and pop thrift stores hoping to come across one of those eOnes and have one for myself. To this day, I continue to search for one that wouldn't require me to take out a second mortgage.
Yeah I think after ruinous lawsuit the eMachines label got bought up by Gateway Computers and they in turn got bought up by Acer who still had the Gateway and eMachines brand . I do remember the eOne being sold in retail computer stores.
That computer has some very attractive features and it looks cool. The built in loudspeakers are not very good though. In some ways it's better designed than the iMac because it has ports and features people still used and needed in 1999 such as the floppy drive. Still, Apple had the legal right to sue them because eMachines effectively did copy the design 1:1. Does it have a TV tuner as well as the video input? I remember the LGR video about this computer. Too bad the CD player controls weren't working, that said, would you really want to listen to CDs with those tinny little speakers?
You Lucky Duck! These are Crazy Cool, My Bud had one, I instantly said the company was gonna get sued, when it came time to upgrade it, his dad trashed it before I could ask to keep it./
I'm seeing many associations with the IMac and this machine. Can someone tell me what's up? I need answers. Also, 14:43 because First Edition is not allowed in Billy's house!
I've been watching your channel for probably about 7 years now. It's such a comforting, calming channel.
i think hes boring as hell
Reviewing a product that got Apple's lawyers after eMachines

In today’s video, Billy acquires a controversial iMac clone.
I always wanted one of these bad boys. A PC with the look of an iMac. In other words, a Mac that could play games.
nice you find one soon.
Very lucky to have that machine, treat it well and keep it alive😀 Extra, very rare compy 😉

Did LGR no longer want the eOne? I still remember watching his original review of this computer.
I'm borrowing it from him.
@@TheNostalgiaMall Nice!
Apple was not happy that eMachines copied the design of the iMac.
I bet so.
Bring Back the Intro!!! Love the videos and the content. I am wondering what extra performance you can get out of that
The infamous PC that was sued by Apple in 2000. Apple won that lawsuit, therefore eMachines discontinued that model.
Something that Apple would sue eMachines…

I would avoid any eMachines but this is one exception. The composite input av jacks is a nice touch.

Cool you can play a CD when the computer is off, just like a Toshiba Satellite.
You Lucky Duck!

I am wondering. You said that 98 1st edition is not allowed here. Does that mean in your country? Why is that? Greetings from The Netherlands.
Wait, is the music here from 3D Ultra Lionel Train Town? I thought I recognized that!
Id like to see this eone machine run Linux, freebsd and haiku OS in 2024
This is a Rare all in one Computers? Right?

Nobody paid that. There was $400 discounted for a 3 year Compuserve dial up internet subscription
Looks like a cool pc. It is kinda like an old school all in one, in a way. Jesus loves you!
