I wish we had a military surplus store in my city I would be spending my money all a time there I love my military surplus gear. I wish I would started my military surplus store up when I was kid
So, funny thing. I am done with packs. After decades of collecting them for "just in case" scenarios, and ending up with a dozen packs, most used MAYBE a weekend, I stopped. Until I just found an LBT ruck just like yours. For $100. Used, well faded-but functional. So.....yeah. I PROMISE its my last pack :) London Bridge Trading started in the early 1980s, when they bought out the inventory of another company that made gear for the military. The owner of the company met an officer at a trade show, whom he mentioned to that he had just bought the inventory to the company that supplied issue gear, and was looking for new contracts. The officer asked for some specialized equipment for the USMC, and that was the first contract gear that LBT made. They made a LOT of old ALICE equipment, and made some one off and specialized gear for both US Army and USMC special warfare units, through the 90s and into the 2000s. My first encounter with them was in 1992 or so, when they made a specialized daypack I saw. Of course, I was a line grunt, and we werent allowed cool guy stuff, but I was pretty impressed with the pack. Later on, maybe late 90s or so, Blackhawk, when it was still US made, made a similar backpack, now what we would call an assault pack. It was a carbon copy of the earlier LBT pack I had seen. At that time, my unit could use some privately purchased gear, so long as it was green or camo. So, I picked it up. Anyway, LBT has been making some amazing gear since before I started playing grunt in the 1980s. Good to see they are still around!
That seems like a really nice pack but sometimes I get overwhelmed with bells and whistles.. Ive got two alice packs, med and mountain.. big sacks with two straps, no zippers..
If it’s military surplus I’m on board. Very nice packs and surplus is like you said, very durable, really like my milsurp bout all I use, thanks for the video
I got a bunch , the problem with bugout gear , it’s not very gray man , I got a large Alice pack that I modified with a newer back and shoulders straps , came out nice , No perfect but still nice
Surplus stores have been in decline & you're lucky if there's one nearby my old MOLLE pack the urethane coating is degrading same as all my urethane coated nylons, so I'm not big on used gear when the urethane coating goes the nylon starts to unravel... seems the old ALICE stuff has survived the best where the more modern stuff has degraded

Man that LBT pack is AWESOME ! It has been on my list for years !!! Litefighter makes some great tents as well.
That first pack is huge…Hopefully you will be filling it with light weight sleep gear and clothing for the winter. Have fun stay safe.
One Thief Surplus and Venture Surplus are the first places I look when purchasing quality military surplus gear.
Agreed both great companies and both veteran owned
on the pack..if you want a middle strap just.run a strap from your frame at 2 points then behind the 2 middle pouches to tighten it

That London Bridge ruck looks a lot like an Australian Alice ruck except the harness is massively inferior.
Great looking gear, thanks for sharing, God bless !
As a former ground humper do not go with the plastic frame. It does indeed crack as is prone too at the worst time😂
