The main problem is that Western countries like the US have a sugarcoated culture that pushes unrealistic levels of romanticism while in reality unshackled (freed thanks to anti-shaming culture and birth control) Western women practice extremely ruthless hypergamy (and even deny this being the bare truth to themselves). In more traditional countries these techniques won't get one anywhere. Countries that follow traditional culture are being heavily influenced by western trends. Im from India, and things aren't remotely as good as you think. There are good and bad women everywhere, and one needs to be extremely cautious regarding the latter.
In my early 20s, I was very unlucky with women and was always rejected by them. By my mid-20s, I finally started having luck with women and got into actual relationships. I'm now in my early 30s, and after finally getting lucky with a lot of women and experiencing actual relationships - I no longer fear being rejected by women. Now I fear that they'll fall in love with me and want me as anything more than just a fuck buddy.

I think this video was quite on point. A lot of us men had to learn the hard way to never put a woman on a pedestal. Giving any women "princess" treatment backfiers because a woman needs to strive for validation and attention.
If a man provides attention and validation "on a silver platter" with no work by the woman her perceived value of the man's attention and validation DECREASES every time. After a while the woman may acknowledge the man is good, perfect, giving me everything but she becomes unhappy or unfulfilled.
Under hypergamy the controlling emotions are; first, wanting but not having and second, working/competing to get what she wants.
Another collateral emotion under hypergamy men must manage is a woman's insecurities and self-doubt.
Managing these three emotional factors of hypergamy is the key.
