The Jay Jay's system is the progression from the British 58 pattern from lessons learnt from the Falklands War. Four water bottle pouches sewn together to take water bottle, 48/72 hours emergency rations/Mess Tin small, Brew kit/cooker and medics stuff, and another water bottle. One water bottle would have a steel mug. Ammo pouches either side, front clear to allow leopard crawling. Cold War warriors carried NBC suit, sandbag, waterproofs and a poncho/basha in one or two carriers that went on top/bottom, all bungeed tight. But later, by end of Cold War, NBC got binned to a back pack. The Norther Ireland patrol pack was issued to sit on the shelf the pouches made for local patrols. That took waterproofs, cold weather jacket, radios/batteries, and additional ammunition; heck even mortar bombs. Or your large Bergen for longer stays at some base camp. Whatever the case you can't fight swiftly enough with a heavy backpack, so those are going to get dropped "somewhere". Just like your assault rifle is your personal weapon, the fighting belt order was your personal survival kit for when resupply wasn't going to turn up any time soon if ever, and getting back to any kind of base camp might be tricky.
I can only find JayJays gear in multicam, is there a specific place to find their stuff in ranger green or do they just phase through different colors on their website?
There’s a lot of folks buying “mountain gear” or Long range gear, that live in suburbs. Something I wonder about. Not a jab at you, just always curious about the majority of the purchases and thought processes made by “gun culture.” Who are following any and every trend that comes through
Oh I am bad about trying out whatever is hot. I live in the county however, few acres and can shoot in my back yard out to 150. All my training focus as been on green side operations, ive done very little training for an "urban" fight. Tbh i don't like the city when its peaceful. Won't find me there during unrest!
I'm on the edge of the suburbs, and used to live downtown. As a result I have kit for urban, and non urban if things go sideways. One is (now) in case for some God forsaken reason I have to go into or across the city. The other kit is if I have to go out into the marshy woods to get to my alternate location on foot and use at said location. Different gear for different roles. Though it is funny watching people that used to say "belt kit is obsolete" scurry to buy belt kit.
The guy who said if there was another assault weapon ban which passed congress and came across his desk as president he would sign it? He said so on Reason about 14 minutes 50 seconds in. Maybe you're hoping a ban like that would help save you some money.@@LFAnon

You will like the Jay Jays rig alot better when you get a british yoke harness to wear with it.
Yeah I am using this one that I got it with. I do want to just find some surp PLCE to use over this even.
I have the same system, but I use the jay jays patrol yoke. Comfort goes up 3x
KENNEDY 24‼ Yeah Buddy!!
Jay Jays best belt kit available by far
I just wore it for about 20 hours straight on Saturday and I have to agree.
@@LFAnon imagine if you had the proper yoke 🤯
@@davidoftheforest haha you guys and the yoke! I surrender!

That shoulder holster/belt kit combo seems looks pretty cool and fixes the problem of carrying a pistol with belt kits.
To be honest it got a little busy as you can see. If there was a way to incorporate the shoulder holster into the webbing that might be slick!
@@LFAnonI think the biggest problem you're having is that the holster is riding too low. Bring it up a few notches and it should be a bit better.
@@jackal2484 Gotta let that thang haaaannng. ;-)
To be honest I ditch the pistol when I have a rifle completely. They are shit for fighting, and I'm to precious to be fighting in-range.
Keep the good content up

Havent got my hands on it. Looks like a good design.
How is that top pouch on the back tied in?
@@VictoryOrValhalla14 just tied on! It has cords for it
@@LFAnon I jumped the gun, thought it was a crossfire with one of the baguettes they sell. Appreciate the response.
Platatac BK Harness has what you need.

We contacted them a few years ago and had them make a special run in OD green. Our team guys bought about 8 sets of webbing I believe.
@@LFAnon Is there any possibility I could request a belt in od green or olive drab?
@@spehhhsssmarineer8961 oh man it is all long spoken for, every piece we ordered had a buyer
@@LFAnon So you think they wouldn’t be able to?
@@spehhhsssmarineer8961 From jayjay's? You can try, i think our minimum order was around 10 pieces, $3 thousand dollar order.
