how do you know when it is time to change ink cartridges? no screen to let you know when ink is low

@Casey Downing it depends on the printer you are using, There is a light that normal come on to alert you like Amber light if it Canon. It will be showing on particular cartridge where you have the functions and menu. If it Hp you can get the alert from Hp smart app if you register for ink service. Let us know how you get on thanks

Switch off your printer then wait for for 1 minutes for printer to reset ,also clear any jam from your printer to see if it works

Amber light has come on and is flashing. Smart App says that ink is very low but I cannot open the door. Tried moving it back and forth. It will not budge

Siobhan you need to do forward movement with the door and gently pull backwards to open it up

@Sarah every printers got various functions it really depend on the individual to make that informed choice because one need to decided what features the person wants the printer to have and affordability which I wouldn't know if I make sense.

What is the goal light for

The light shows the state of the printer, the purple light comes on when switched the printer on , then when you connect printer to WIFI it change to blue, and if there is a issue it change to amber
