I'm in love with windelo catamarans! Too bad I can't afford it. For now.

Fantastic, less noise, less running costs, less diesel smell, built in regeneration, less vibrations, less trips to buy diesel, less maintenance, better low speed torque. Excellent advantages. How does the weight compare to two diesel motors? I guess a bit heavier, however probably can distribute the weight better.

Seems like a really smart system. I've ordered a catamaran that won't start building for another year or two - perhaps by then I'll ask for this solar/regen/diesel-electric arrangement. As a sea kayaker I absolutely know that not making any noise is a huge plus, a lot of stress is eliminated, and out on the ocean, whales and dolphins swim right up to me. Molas (sunfish) resting on the surface won't pay you any mind until you get too close. (Of coursel, dolphins will swim up to anybody, but ever have a blue whale surface right next to you?) Can't wait to find out more.

If they can develope a lighter and more compact generator powerplant like the Liquid piston rotarys or the Duhram university twin opposed free piston 24kw generator system that can run on miltifuel then the system becomes 👌🏻🌍
The motors like the batteries need to be free from rare earth metals ...and ultimately lithium.
But bravo for leading the way and doing so much so well.🇬🇧🧙‍♂️⛵

    Question,
Front cockpit, what is the time estimated to drain all the water , 200 gallons of water, in case of a major water intake to the area?

It very rarely takes any water over the bow in an 8month N Atlantic loop via Newfoundland and Iceland the shetlands and Faroes they hardly took a bucket full inside the cockpit. The drain rate is set by the EU and insurance construction standards. standards ... That was on an early 50' .
