@@flowingzoning2142 Yes immigrants go home :). Hopefully after Trump pulled all the american troops away now the world wont be full of immigrant caravans coming here :)
Elize Ryd is her name, she once filled in for Annette Olson of Nightwish at a Seattle gig before the age of Floor. Elize had auditioned for Nightwish after Tarja had left, but lost out to Annette. Some Amaranthe tracks I recommend, Invincible, Helix, Maximize, Amaranthine, Digital World. I enjoy their mix of metal and EDM. Elize also has penchant for fashion.
@@lonelywind3511 Yes that behind the scen documentary about it when and you see Elize and Alissa performing on stage holding sheets with the lyrics was great and the crowd was so cool about it.
That other guy with the beard and glasses doing the mixing and engineering is Jacob Hansen of Pyramaze and Anubis Gate. He isca legend in the prog/power community and quite an accomplished guitarist, vocalist and bassist in his own right. You should check out his work with Pyramaze on their most recent album Epitaph (I recommend the song The Time Traveller). Elize also guests regularly with Kamelot (see Liar Liar (Wasteland Monarchy) where she guests with Alissa White Gluz from Arch Enemy). And you want to talk about Sabaton - check out Rise of Evil, Attack of the Dead Men, Midway, Nuclear Attack, Panzer Battalion, Screaming Eagles, Cliffs of Gallipoli!
Elize Ryd and Alissa White-Gluz of Arch Enemy are still massively in my good books for the way they stepped up when Anette couldn't perform in the Denver Nightwish show. Wanna have a look, just watch the first 30 minutes or so of the Nightwish documentary "Please learn the setlist in 48 hours", it's borderline crazy and hilarious and the same time.
"definitely gonna do more Amaranthe" Me: "Yes please!" Elize is wonderful. Fun fact, she's IRL friend with Floor. She has been on stage with Nightwish. Which you can see once you watch the documentary "learn the setlist in 48hrs". I think she even auditioned for Nightwish at some point, tho Im not 100% sure. One song I always recommend from Amaranthe is "Hunger", it was the song that put them on my radar, years ago. One could say Amaranthe have hard time deciding if they wanna be a metal or pop band. I see nothing wrong with that myself, and perhaps you'll think that way after hearing more of their songs. Nightwish, Amaranthe, and Sabaton, you sure know how to keep me coming back man ;) As always; Stay safe. Stay Awesome.
elize is great, she evean jumped in as a singer for nigthwish when their lead got sick. they did this cover before their tour with sabaton. so their is a mixed version with both sabaton and amaranthe live
Yep, the so called Denver Debacle that was the last straw before Nightwish fired Anette and called Floor. Elize and Alissa White-Gluz did a remarkable job singing nightwishs fairly complex lyrics with v Pretty much no preparations and not knowing most of the songs. Alissa is another great vocalist you need to react to btw, either the early stuff from The Agonist or the Newer from Arch Enemy.
I figured you would like Amaranthe, this video is just so much fun, everyone, Elize especially, is having a blast shooting it. They have this mix of 90:s electro and metal that work remarkably well. Some suggestions Hunger (from the first album, not the same male vocalists as now), Maximize or Digital World or for some stuff from their latest album Viral or Fearless. Do or die (featuring Angela Gossow is also really good, it's just Elize and the guest in that one tho. Fun trivia about Elize, she was close to becoming the singer in Nightwish the first time they changed vocalist (not the time when floor joined them). Apparently they picked Anette only because Elize was much younger and had less experience. But since she started Amaranthe instead (and Floor joined Nightwish later on) i can't really complain about the What if scenario.
I cant agree more, also Elize would have been an even worse fit to fill Tarjas shoes. The problem with Anette was she was too happy and bright for Nighwish dark songs, and Elize is even brighter. She do happy-metal, and Nightwis did not have any happy songs at the time Tarja left.
If you want you can see the live performance with Sabaton who invited Amarathe and they are preforming the song togheter in concert, preatty cool actually.
You want more Amaranthe Style? No problem! Archangel, Fearless,Strong,Helix,Amaranthine, Hunger,The Nexus,365, Drop Dead Cynical, Dream, Maximize!!! Check this out and have fun 😉🤘🤘🤘
..That's Jacob Hansen's studio in Denmark.. (Unleash the Archers also recorded Apex and Abyss albums there) ... but Nils and Henrik are in Sabaton's warehouse somewhere...
OK so yes you do now need to do the live version when they sang it together but I wouldn’t start Sabaton live with this one. Ghost Division live from Woodstock is one good one.
hello OldSkuleNerd manny had already ADD info about the song, a thing from Elize from my perspective, a fan perspective, she is young, talented, and she has worked with manny band or musicians.
Amaranthe feut Angelo Gossow (Ex Arch Enemy) - Do or die .. that is one amazing song and well worth checking out. Amaranthe toured with Sabaton on the Great tour end of 2019/beginning 2020 and the cover was Sabaton's idea actually. They also had Apocalyptica on the tour and same thing, they did collaborations with them too .. check out Angels Calling.
There is a live version where they play with Sabaton. In my opinion the best example of Elize's talent is actually with Timo Tolkie's Avalon. Sometimes with Amaranthe she jumps around and dances on stage which inevitably affects her vocal quality. I have seen her in person though with Kamelot, and she was flawless then.
I think a nice rotation would be Nightwish - Sabaton - Amaranth. Repeat. You do know that those three bands are connected? Floor Jansen of Nightwish is married to Sabaton's drummer and they live outside Gothenburg in Sweden. Amaranth are from Gothenburg and Elize of Amaranth have auditioned for Nightwish and actually jumped in at the Denver concert when the previous Nightwish singer Anette got sick on tour (which you can see in the excellent Nightwish documentary "Learn this setlist in 48 hours".
Enjoying your content quite a bit, subbed after the first video I watched. You may wanna check out: Epica - Sancta Terra (Live w/ Floor) Ne Obliviscaris - And Plague Flowers the Kaleidoscope (Live in Colorado) Demons & Wizards - Fiddler on the Green (Live at Wacken) If you've like Nightwish and Amaranthe you'd probably really like Epica. Demons & Wizards is a side/hybrid project between Iced Earth and Blind Guardian. Ne Obliviscaris is an Australian band who's musical composition is studied at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Heard you mention you're a percussion guy, so you'd probably really enjoy Ne Obliviscaris. Keep up the good work!
Just starting to watch the video and i thought to ask if anyone has already mentioned Sabaton's "Sabaton History" -channel. And while you at it check out other stuff Indy Neidel has done. Should be interesting if you like history.
I'm probably late to the party, but the song with Amaranthe you need to here is "Cyber Sausage World" co-written by Dragonforce. When you found that you see the metal-scene in Scandinavia has ho hate, just fun and games all the time.
Amaranthe (pronounced just like it looks, Am-UH-ranth, you don't pronounce the "e" at the end) are a Swedish band just like Sabaton. Amaranthe is wellknown for having three vocalists. Elize Ryd (pronounced like "rid") is the female clean vocalist and she's very good. Nils Molin is the clean male vocalist and Henrik Englund Wilhelmsson, more commonly known by his stage name GG6, is the harsh vocalist. They just released a new album back in October of this year and I'd highly recommend you check out the songs "Fearless", "BOOM!", and "Archangel" from it. Thanks!
You're about six month's behind me in discovering this "stuff". You start with Floor, then you get Elize, that leads to a lot of other great female singers, next I would suggest Simone from Epica. The "starter" video for them would be Sancta Terra ft. Floor (live with orchestra and choir), then to Delain, Within Temptation. Ad Infinium and others. For the male side, I really like Kamelot with Tommy Karvik. They have some live videos. I suggest to start, Sacrimony ft. Elize and Allissa from Arch Enemy (she's a singer and a growler). And this leads you back to Jinjer. It's a wonderful vicious cycle!!!!
