I am still waiting for the delivery but am now even more excited to get them. I play with the Winmau Blackout 24g and I’m going to switch to these smoothies at 22g You made my day!
Good timing! I think you'll like them. Just remember though, don't judge them based on the first 3-4 minutes of play. Let the barrels warm up and then the grip will greatly improve. 👍

For the price of these it's definitely worth getting a set to have a go with. I really like that you'll never get a mad bounce out with the point hitting a ring of the grip and they'll always slip nicely past each other. Grouping for these should be super easy right? I bet that very slight taper helps with the grip level. You're kind of pushing against the thicker end as you throw. My own darts use a sharkfin grip and I thought I really liked that style of grippy dart but I think I'll definitely give a set of these a bash. Thanks for the review.
You're correct, because of how the dart tapers larger towards the front it offers a bit more grip compared to a totally straight barrel. And yes, these things group incredibly tight as they are quite narrow. ANY Designa dart is worth a try for the ridiculously affordable prices they sell them for 👍
I just bought a pair from darts clearance on ebay. 1 of your viewers sent in theres and I bought the 23g set. £11 so super cheap and they group so well. I'd have preferred these 1s as there slightly thinner but I'm still delighted with my purchase
Another excellent dart from designa. Got some couple of weeks ago for the collection. That model used to be marketed under the black knight name. Nice scoring btw.
Designa darts are no joke. I bought some Dark Shadows 24g "Lowe" shaped darts. Absolutely love them and they all weighed 23.95 grams. Perfect match for a fraction of the cost of most other darts.
They are without a doubt my favorite brand. I've reviewed and tested a dozen or more sets of Designa darts and every one of them have been amazing. Super high quality darts for less than $30usd shipped in most cases 👍
Yeah man I know what you're talkin about I had the old Hankey darts and as your fingers and the darts warm up to you it kind of gets almost tacky feeling more grip then people would think another good review there worldwide thanks man

I did with the set I just reviewed, the Darts Corner Gallant darts. But hardly anyone uses the stems and flights that the darts come with anyway. I don't know a single person that uses the stock set up that the darts come with.
Not really a fan of smooth barrel darts, but for some reason I kinda like'em. They're definitely cheap enough to consider though. I generally prefer what you would probably classify as a 3-4 in grip level. Maybe the finish on them isn't completely smooth. To me, they look a little on the grainy side. I've had a couple sets of smooth barrels over the years that have been slick to the point of being impossible to throw. This looks like something I might consider though. I don't know if they make them, or if they're made by another company and repackaged, but Designa darts do come remarkably close to their advertise weight. Personally, I think if that first number after the decimal is zero, and you're talking about hundredths of a gram, that's pretty damned close.
I think these are made by Nodor but I'm not 100% sure. From everything I've seen the Designa line of darts is killing it. All around quality. The weight is always spot on as well. What you said about the weight is true. That's why I don't bother to break out a scale and weigh them on video. Nobody cares about a few hundredths of a gram, it's impossible to tell the difference between 22.02 and 22.04 and the difference in weight could be because of the cheap ass scale being used. For right around $20usd these are worth a try imo. 👍
Good question. Having thrown both I would probably recommend the straight barrel version. No real reason for that recommendation other than I think the straight barrel dart would work better for most players.

I know you like to throw with the fit flights set up, would like to see you throw with the flights and steam at come with the barrels one time.

These ones feel a bit smaller than normal because there's no machining taken out of them. I'd say slightly lighter as well
