I have the 5950x and 7800xt and honestly coming from a 670 and 3k generation I am more than satisfied. I could of went am5 when upgrading but the price for the 16core 7950x3d and 7950x is astounding. The 3D cores are cool but I do a lot of music editing so I need a 16core. I don't see a lot of mentions of the cpu and thought I made a bad purchase just to find out the 3d cache is only optimal for gaming only which makes it in my opinion useless, unless that rig is meant for gaming and gaming only while not utilizing any programs. I need my rig to be a multitasking monster. Btw I have a short of my rig, look at it and tell me what you think, its a fully custom built corsair build.
@@XxNewmilleniumxX A Ryzen 5950x/Radeon 7800xt rig is NOT gonna disappoint you at all!! The only reason I say “avoid the 12/16 core X3D chips”, and again this is all my opinion, is because it honestly gets out-performed by the vanilla 7900x and 7950x respectively. AMD relies on the Xbox game bar for determining the best cores on the CPU rather than any special scheduler, so there’s a chance that games may not even run on the Vcache cores at all. Additionally, because there’s 3Dvcache on top of 8 of the cores, they can’t run as hot so AMD needed to lower the power target of the chips, which makes it less ideal for productivity too. Since you said you do a lot of music, I would personally try to kit out as much RAM as you can so that way things like instrument samples don’t take 10 years to load (only if you have the budget, of course. I’m in no way saying go buy it right now lol)
@@PlanetXGames_YT Oh yes I have 64gb of ddr4 C. vengeance 4266. I would of went for any am5 16core cpu either first or second class but they are way above my budget thats why I went for the 5950x.
@ as of now yes, I am waiting until the 9 series to fully develop and I will move to either am5 or wait until am5 is finished and move to am6 or the latest socket after that.
@@Hamido- Probably the same as the 3600x. It’s a solid CPU for someone on a budget. The 1650 is also still a very capable card too, I personally have a 1650 super in my streaming PC
