'Cause NC is Home. A cozy, warm, big home.. A childhood place. Smells like Dr. Pepper, fresh brewed coffee, wet brick after the rain, trains and fresh spliced pinewood from local sawmill.. Here is the best and most beautiful girls in the whole US.
Cafe 99 is a restaurant. Lucky City Brewery is one of the last buildings you mentioned. Downtown Dogs was a gas station many many years ago. Governor Reids house is still standing and has been preserved. He was the son of the founder and was the towns first post master at age 15. The Lucky Strike smoke stack you saw is where the American Tobacco Company was. Tucks shoe repair has been there for decades. The original owner was a really good man. He used to repair all the kids baseball gloves and wouldn't take a dime! The ridiculous looking item in the traffic circle is called the Bud. It is supposed to represent growth. The people and things engraved on it played roles in the city's development. It replaced the Civil War Monument honoring the soldiers from Rockingham County that died in the war. It was "accidentally" ran into by a truck driver who fell asleep at the wheel one morning, managed to drive around a curve and up the hill, eventually striking the Monument. It just so happens that the cameras that view that intersection was not working that day. Rockingham theater is actually closed for movie showings. The owner died a couple of years ago. Coates Antiques is a new business. It pronounced like COATS, but is spelled Coates. It is owned by Skeeter Coates. Very nice stuff in his store. The building to the left of the Police Department used to be the Post Office. The upstairs portion of the Police Department used to be the City Courthouse and Jail. Short Sugars Barbecue is on the right about a half mile past the McDonald's. Petes burgers is on the left just past the McDonald's used to be Burger Chef until 1982. Short Sugars and Pete's are staples in Reidsville.
Thank you so much for all the local information. You have a beautiful town. I wish there were more people like the man who fixed the kids gloves. And it sounds like the governor at 15 was more of a adult than some 30 year olds these days. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for holding this knowledge and taking the time to share it with others I’ve grown up in reidsville and reading what you wrote was very informative thank you
Hold old is this gut. Never heard of ppl Alwrgic to Bees. In another video doesn't think he ever went to a funeral and clueless about U.K procedures for one. Never seen big spiders. They don't have Grand daddy long-leggs ?

My wife and I worked at The American Tobacco Company till it closed down
I imagine you have a lot of good memories from there. Thanks for sharing.
Carolina Cafe is a great place to eat
Thanks for the recommendation, Heather. 👍
Tobacco was king in Reidsville at one time
Definitely. Thanks for watching.
Man Reidsville needs to remodel that apartments over top of those stores so I can rent one. I bet they are creepy as hell tho lol.
Probably so. But creepy cool. 😀
