  • Most people eat until they are full. Eat till you're full they always say. And then they regret it. Oh they feel full, bloated, heavy, tired and just want to fall asleep. People don't realize they ate too much until it's too late. If you eat until you are full, you already ate too much. This is not healthy. But how do you know how to stop eating? Gluttony is not something anyone wants to admit, but most people do it. If you have weight problems and want to lose weight, lower insulin and blood sugar levels, then do not eat until you are full. The longest living people only eat until they are 80 percent full, or three quarters full. How do you know you are three quarters full? Belly fat is not something anyone wants and everyone wants to know how to lose weight fast and burn fat quickly. One of the secrets to longevity and living longer is to not eat until you are full. Raw vegan or not, it doesn't matter. Learn to control what goes in your mouth. Control is mastery.

    I eat slowly and eat till I feel content but not FULL. Hate that full feeling. Ugh !

    The more I fast the more natural it comes to me to stop eating when satisfied but NOT full. Feeling full becomes uncomfortable after getting used to the fasting emptiness

    I’ll never forget reading that when you get that “full” feeling, you’re actually stretching out your stomach. So the next time you eat you’re going to need to eat more to be “satisfied.” And on and on. This is how people get bigger and bigger.

    This is only accurate when eating processed / high calorie / high fat foods that are hard to digest. When eating low fat high water content foods, ie fruits and leafy greens, it’s actually incredibly important to eat until you’re full, just like all animals eating their natural diets.

      I'm curious Chris, would I really want to eat say 20 bananas and feel full when I know that at any moment I may be sprinting for my life, you know like in nature? I feel what Markus is saying has merit about the amount you eat and how you feel afterwards. I believe that once we are accustomed to eating our natural diet, one would know when to much is to much. Our bodies do talk to us we just don't listen because we are addicted to instant gratification.

      Marcus is king.. and I'm surprised Raw Advantage is pushing back.. no, you shouldn't stuff your stomach until it's full and bloated because you'd be causing yourself some stomach pain also, lol

    • @TheRawAdvantage
      @TheRawAdvantage 17 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      @@charleycroweI don’t know your specifics, ie weight, height, activity levels, digestive strength, so can’t really comment on you eating 20 bananas. For myself, i feel great after a meal of 15-18 bananas and could run away from danger if I needed to. Either way this is a moot point as we don’t live on the Savana with lions chasing us haha besides this, I feel 100% better eating until full on a fruit and greens based approach than eating anywhere near as much fat as is promoted in the “don’t eat until full” way of thinking, so it makes it moot twice imho.

    • @TheRawAdvantage
      @TheRawAdvantage 17 วันที่ผ่านมา +5

      @@user-sj7nc1pf7gI’m not pushing back, I’m correcting in the context of our species specific diet based on 20 years thriving in this way and having coached hundreds of people. Yes if you eat high fat foods then it’s wise to under eat, but, when eating high water content high fibre foods it’s actually important to eat enough. The most common reasons people fall off of a fruit based diet is not having a good education and under eating. Eating right between all you enjoy and all you can is perfect for fruits and greens, leads to feeling amazing and light even after meals. Sure like anything there is a transitional period and I never recommend forcing food, but if your eating a fruit based raw diet then under-eating is more a issue than having a few bites more and actually getting full.

    • @TheRawAdvantage
      @TheRawAdvantage 17 วันที่ผ่านมา +5

      @@sherril.562 absolutely, we need eat more the lower the calorie density of our diet. Eating until full is not only natural, but ideal, that is in the context of a fruit and veg based low fat raw lifestyle. IMHO some of the worst advice in the raw food diet landscape is to eat less, that and fear of fruit, all it does is drive people to eating high fat foods in excess and or binging.

    I just finished a 50-day juice fast and in the month of refeeding afterwards I got too full in my gut. Things were moving everyday four times a day but I just felt that heaviness in there that just feeling of needing to be empty. I went back on juices for 3 days and amazingly things cleared quickly and I'm back to feeling light and so energetic. I'm slowly adding in juicy fruits and going slow. Hoping my digestion will continue and loving adding in your green formula along with all my other juices like lemon, ginger blast. Making sure I have lots of omega-3s this round as I got autoimmune in. Have been learning from your books

    Any advice on how to prevent extrasystoles caused by digestion? I've been eating mostly raw since 2017 and have been vegetarian since I was little.
    I don't understand why this happens to me frequently.
    I am not a big eater, I'm very skinny (52 kg for 1m75, 34 years old). I'm trying to find the strength and serenity to stay positive and tell myself that one day I'll be rid of this symptom. Thank you for all the valuable advices on your channel. Keep up the good work :) wish you the best.

    • @MarkusRothkranz
      @MarkusRothkranz  11 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      if indeed it is caused by digestion, then obviously you must have a good look at what you are eating. Most raw foodists simply choose sweet stuff and fruit (mangos, bananas, grapes, orange juice, fruit juice etc) Fruit juice concentrates sugar and throws out fiber. Alkaline water, calcium pills etc neutralizes stomach acid which messes up digestion. Sugar and stress also messes everything up. Eating late and poor sleep habits are huge causes. The list goes on th-cam.com/video/5arLFw7QTpA/w-d-xo.html and also th-cam.com/video/DbtUprql6qQ/w-d-xo.html

    Hi Markus ! Hey so I switched over to green tea from coffee and found out green tea has fluoride in it . Can you explain what the deal is there ? I thought fluoride was bad for you but I'm sure you have a good explanation ! Thank you much!

    • @MarkusRothkranz
      @MarkusRothkranz  16 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      The body needs a bit of naturally occurring flouride, but not the highly concentrated isolate used in toothpaste and municipal water. Secondly, plants have binding elements, so a lot of the flouride (and other elements) in plants are chemically bound and do not release into the body, they just pass through. Think about it, if green tea was so bad, most of Asia would be negatively affected, but they live longer and have a better quality of life. The internet is so full of fear and out-of-context information.

    Markus,what is your opinion about urine therapy

    • @MarkusRothkranz
      @MarkusRothkranz  10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      There's a reason the body is getting rid of it. The kidneys filter toxins out of the blood and get rid of it through urination, like metabolic waste, chemicals, bacteria, drugs, albumin, nitrogen waste (urea), muscle waste (creatinine), oxalates, (you really want kidney stones?) and tons of other waste products from the body. Kidney poisoning results when the body has too much urine. Let's say a woman has endometriosis due to excess estrogen. Is it really smart for her to drink her own urine that contains some of the excess estrogen the body was trying to get rid of in the first place? This is only going to add to the estrogen load. The kidneys work hard to filter unwanted substances out of the body, and people just put it back in? It’s crazy. People can make all the silly claims they want. Just because something is trendy doesn't mean it's right. Those people need to learn basic biology, chemistry and kidney function.

    I eat super healthy, but if I don’t heap heaps I don’t stay full for long. Any ideas what I’m doing wrong?

      Depends what you eat. Incorporate more healthy fats, like nut butter, avocados, coconut oil and meat, etc

    What about when you hardly ever get a sensation of fullness? Im high raw vegan & can eat & eat & eat but dont get a fullness sensation until i have a large amount of water or green/fruit juice on top of the food intake. It was the same when i used to eat animal products, so no, its not due to me being vegan & eating less dense foods. I generally always need fluids to feel a full sensation. Im by no means overweight but its unusual for a small built person to eat so much & still not feel full.

      Do you take the time to chew your food enough until it's pudding before swallowing?

    • @sonjadyason8802
      @sonjadyason8802 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@MarkusRothkranz no, I eat rather fast. I will start chewing more before swallowing & slow down my whole eating process & see whether this helps.

    There's no "survival" mechanism involved. It's only addiction and psychological. Why can we go months (or forever) on water, juices etc then ?

    • @MarkusRothkranz
      @MarkusRothkranz  6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The body doesn't want to die, so it will create hunger even if it had enough fat to last a month. That's a survival mechanism. So is energy conservation (low energy). Of course addictive cravings affect us also.

    We are weeding the junk out of our diet...much more fiber...much less garbage. Eating out is a rarity. So we aren't over eating. Take out is an option we take advantage of at restaurants on the rare occasion when we eat out. So many people who eat at buffets are severely overweight. My husband is still fighting me about the meat, but I found vegan sloppy joe he likes. Lentils replace the meat.

      Actually eating when you are hungry is the right time to eat, also the calorie burning will be at its peak. Eating when you are not hungry is ignoring your body signals that you don’t need food, same with drinking when you are not thirsty. All these dumb ideas make people ignore their body’s signals and they then are confused ignoring what the body’s needs are. Use common sense if you have any. Lot of these so called experts just talk nonsense and trying to come out with something original so you need to be smart and not buy their cool-aid.
