A supervisor should take the time to find out the strengths of there team, this will be helpful with different projects, give positive attention to those who have done a great job etc., be a good listener to what they have to say and keep up to date with training👍

What advice can you give when supervising people who are older than you and have more experience?

Lean on them and ask the big questions. Show you are growing. Be transparent. Gain respect by valuing them and remaining professional.
If they are, say, "stubbon in their ways" then (broadly speaking) lead them to the conclusions you want. Express the challenges the company is facing and work on the end goal together. Learning about feedback will be very important.

At the minute mark 8 minutes 15 seconds your spelling of "expereinces" is wrong. The correct spelling is "experiences".

How should I approach a new team I haven’t worked with before? Like as in I’m being transferred to their location to supervise them. They haven’t had a lead in months and are stuck in their (bad)ways.

Get a pokerface , smile when its needed only, give directions when its needed only, less is more .. try to guess who's their boss ..in every team ..they have a sort of a leader .. positive or negative person that influence the mood of the day.. once u found that person then u establish a two way communication strategy et voilà ... At that point it's up to on how you will manage him so he can either helping for a better job or if he's the bad guy then either find a plan to fix that .. managing is a mental game ..it's politics ..it's sociology involved ..and the most important rule is : work your ass HARD .. let them.see that . They will follow .. you're the leader ;)

Don't try to hard demanded for your respect. Respect you have to earn. It not come with your title. I see a lot of new supervisor kinda do that a lot. My apology if I offended to someone.
