My Duo has used this app for a few years. It is just so simple to use, and allows our sound engineer to mix the tracks perfectly. I highly recommend it. Used to we ran the tracks without mixing them...having the ability to mix the tracks individually makes a huge difference in our sound. Great video, Scott...thanks man!

Our band has been using the multitracker app for two years now and we’ve never had a problem at one of our live shows.
We use the midi feature to control our light show and make program changes in our guitar and electric drum rigs
I heard you mention in another video you were going to do a review of this app and I’m very thankful that you did, it’s a really robust app and has enough features for all of our live needs
We run it through an audio interface with 4 outs:
    1) cues to band IEMS
    2) click to band IEMs
    3) backing tracks to front of house
    4) special cues just for the drummer

    • @Riffman42
      @Riffman42 ปีที่แล้ว +2

@@artguitar2002 Multitracker can run a midi track along with stems. So an easy way to control lights is if you have an old Chauvet 40 or something with a midi in, you can send it program changes from the midi track. Set up the midi track in your daw along side of your stems. You can even then use a midi keyboard to program your lightshow by recording the track live while hooked up to your lights.

Thank you so much for all of these videos. I am a drummer that has been using a metronome with my IEMs for awhile now. My band is now getting some attention and the more I look around, I see plenty of other bands using these types of tracks and honestly this will solve some of the problems of my occasional forgetfulness on stage. I will now be diving in head first as we are starting to play our originals every gig now, so I will be starting with those songs. Content like this is why I love TH-cam. As always, you killed it with this tutorial!
My band uses backing tracks and I've been trying various options. This one seems to be the best so far. I change snapshots on my Helix anywhere from 20-30+ times a song, so having a device that can send MIDI is crucial. We're always changing up the filler sound clips that we use between songs from set to set. Being able to create the MIDI file, move it in coordination with the backing tracks in Logic, then load them both into Multitracker saves me a lot of time. Alternatively, for every set alteration I would have to load the songs into StageTraxx then go through the lyric sheet to meticulously adjust the timing for each snapshot change.
The only thing is that there seems to be a little bit of lag with the MIDI commands once they're in Multitracker. If I move the MIDI region 200 ticks ahead (to the left) in Logic before exporting and set the latency in Multitracker to 30ms (max setting), it seems to line things up - at least for the 2 songs I've tested so far at 175 and 162.4 BPM.
I really appreciate you sharing your wealth of knowledge! I've been using techniques from a lot of these videos to achieve levels of enjoyment with my music projects that I never thought were attainable. Thank you!

    Hi Scott! Great videos!
Our wedding band moved to Multitracker a few months back from Sound Cue. Really love the options it opens up.
I was wanting to try adding some MIDI controlled elements to our set; Lights and HX Stomp switching.
Is it possible to do both with the app or is it one or the other? Wasn't sure how many MIDI tracks you can load into the App?
We don't use tracks for every song so I still would like the ability to control the lights for non tracked songs. Guessing this is possible depending on what controller I have? Currently using the Stairville DMX Joker which I believe I cannot use MIDI with so would need to upgrade to use Multitracker.

Hey, Scott. Got another basic question for ya (sorry for the annoyance, just excited). When importing a SINGLE track (hard pan left/hard pan right), is there a way to mix a little bit of the backing tracks with the click so that the drummer hears both? Say the full left channel (backing tracks) goes to the house, then the right channel goes to the drummer's headphones. Will Multitracker allow you to mix a little bit of the left channel so that drummer also gets to hear a little bit of synth in his headphones?
Short version: Does Multitracker allow mixing the left and right channels to each (left and right) output when using a single track?

    • @ScottUhlMusic

I am routing for the Quad Cortex. When I play solo, everything you explained here and on your other videos will work for me without having to take a mixer with. When I play with the band, I do take a mixer with. With this, I would like to run a stereo backing track, a seperate click, and send midi changes from the app to my Quad Cortex. The outputs from my Quad Cortex would then be Stereo Track (or track L/R), a click, 1 vocal, and stereo guitar. 6 outputs total. My mixer is the Soundcraft ui16 if that matters. Will all this be possible? I hope this makes sense?
