I MYSELF GOT A PAIR OF FBT QUBE Q118SA SUBWOOFERS AND I PAIR THEM WITH TWO FBT MITUS 152-A. I HAVE HAD MANY GOOD SPEAKERS AND SUBWOOFERS IN THE PAST BUT THIS SETUP IS THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD.YESTERDAY I TRIED THEM ( 2 Q118SA AND 2 MITUS 152-A ) AT A POOL OUTDOOR AND THE MUSIC WAS SO POWERFUL AND WITH AN AMAZING QUALITY. WITH THIS SETUP I CAN EASILY COVER 500 PEOPLE OR MORE AT OUTDOORS.
I just picked up a pair of FBT CLA 206a tops which are the little brother to the 406.2a, which will be paired with 2 qsc ks118’s - the specs on the 206 are identical to the 406, just 2 less 6.5 drivers. I’ll eventually buy 2 more of the 206a’s and 2 of the Q118SA to replace the qsc, but can’t wait to see how these sound!
I am looking to get the fbt CLA 406's and was looking for subs to match. probably going to go with this one. If you had to Guess. What size crowd could 1 top 1 sub per side could this handle for an outdoor rock band gig.
Hey there, I'm a sound engineer over in Virginia and I have 4 sets of FBT 604A/208A speakers. With 3 of them I can easily handle 1000 people so those 406a's should definitely be able to handle a big crowd. I know the 208's are only a pair of 8" subs but they do move a good bit of air, especially when you ground stack them in an array. I'd love to hear the difference between the 118's and a pair of the 208's. I don't have a work van yet so all of my gear has to go into my minivan. I couldn't imagine not injuring myself trying to lug a pair of 130 lb speakers into my minivan, that's why I chose the 208's. They're only about 50 lbs which is a piece of cake to move around.

This one just came out in the USA at NAMM last January. This is what people are going with when they put together those big Muse line array systems
