I think the Smith Competitor is the best out of the box polymer competition style pistol I have shot. I have a Glock 34 I like as much, but had to upgrade trigger, sights and barrel to get it that way. I love the look and fell of the PDP pro, but the recoil impulse makes it harder to shoot fast for me. It also needs upgraded sights.

You can buy the SW MP 9 23round magazines and fit perfectly with the magwell, highly recommended. I own the same gun
