Dusty....Thank you, I agree, so deep, ppl can't comprehend how deep. I was in love with a dead man in the 1980. Like the song "The End", if u can picture what will be, so limitless and free,... desperately in need, in a desperate land,......This is the end, in typical friend the end, it hurts to set u free, but u never follow me...the end of laughter and soft lies...the end of has to die.... this...is...the...Enddddd.
Something like that, I guess I missed a few words, but no one will ever compare to who & what he was... beautiful.💜

In the 40 years since I discovered the doors and Jim, my love and appreciation of his / their work has deepened and extended so far beyond just the music, even now this poem can reduce me to tears. I hope he found the happiness and stability he sought.

When I heard The Doors for the first time I fell in love right away. I remember there was a feeling, that I had previously heard these tunes & some songs, but I suppose these were flashbacks from another life or something.))

:) Jim is the hero we didn't know we needed. His poetry will live through us forever as people who suffered and couldn't find that peace.
It's hard to listen to his poems at times because we know the inner pain he felt. But it all resonates decades later. He chased Babylon...I hope he found it.

I would not consider this music, it is poetry of a man lost in drugs, unconscious of reality. I would like to know who plays the piano and whose music is it...

Yes, he was a true genius and nothing more than that. Phenomenal man, smarts, looks, unpredictable, timid when he wanted to be, soft spoken when he wanted to be, and also deep. He was the deepest thinker of those times.

Go to Pere Le Chaise Cemetery in Paris, u will meet him there. Went in 1992, I followed the music in the cemetery and I couldn't believe all the fans sitting around.About 28, maybe, remember this is a very richy cemetery we're artist and poets, philosophers are buried above ground. That was my dream, accomplished.....

Jim Morrison was deep sensitive intelligent human being with a soul of a clown
I believe when Jim says " a city rises from the sea " he is referring to Ys which is a mythical city in France and was under water at each high tide. It was known for its art and since Jim loved and died in this city , his poetry echoed this place. Your home is still here, inviolet and certain ... Referring to France and his death which was certain.
