I've been struggling with the issue of effects adding a "harsh border" to shapes I apply them to. I'll try this "COPY + DRAW INSIDE + PASTE-IN-PLACE" technique ASAP. I hope it works. This is a great tutorial. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!! There’s really no trick when it comes to blending modes, I usually just try out all the different options to see what looks best for what I’m trying to achieve.. but multiply is probably my most used/ go to blending mode for darkening things up a little 😊

create SHADOW SHAPE (MULTIPLY BLEND MODE + darker color)
create HIGHLIGHT SHAPE (OVERLAY BLEND MODE + lighter color)
