Thanks Michael. It was great fun getting down there to see some action. I also learned that CSX runs two trains a day to and from the U.S.A. adjacent to this location! I need to get down there much earlier to see that sometime.
What a great days train watching. I wonder when CN will invest in some paint🤔 Yeah an engineer designs and builds bridges etc etc. A train driver drives trains. Makes perfect sense😁
Thanks Dave! Lol. Yes. In North American parlance an engineer drives an engine. Semantically similar to an auctioneer running an auction. Those locos are still in the “zebra” paint schemes they came in 50 years ago.
Switching with big road power is miserable, yeah you can move everything, but it takes forever! Lol Rather have one of the pairs of GPs, especially since they were 38s, load up faster and move stuff
@@Terrys-Steam-and-Bricks yes they are geared for higher speed but it's in the way they feed power to the traction motors that is slow. They don't want to pull a knuckle off it they huff and puff and pull like mad
Great train action Terry.
Thanks so much Hunter. 😊
Nice day of railfaning! You guys got to see lots of action and some cool locomotives!
Yes indeed John! It was very cool.
Terrific shots!
Thanks! 😊
Interesting storey. Great video

An interesting day out with lots of oddities to keep you amused.
Indeed. Thanks Steve. We were much kept amused. 😊

Indeed. The big engines I suppose are geared to power long trains on the move, not a bunch of start/stops. I wish I had your experience Tim.
