Halo 2 was a massive success when it came out, however it doesn't mean the game was free from problems... Join this channel to get access to perks: / @announcerofgames7754
Hey, Chief! Take that Phantom. You know. The one parked right there. At the start of the level. Even ODSTs know how to pilot it. Also, I'm setting the timer for five minutes, because we did that in Halo CE. There's literally no reason not to blow this space station up right now. It would also prevent Truth from leaving. Also, what happened to the Marines you painstakingly rescued and brought all the way through the level on Legendary? See? Nobody else to worry about. Blow it up. Skip the final level. Do it. Nix that repetitive rescue Cortana story in Halo 3 and 4, and 5 and Reach. Give Cortana a big MAC gun, like in Halo CE and 2--you know what the ladies like. Sergeant Johnson taught it to you.
Halo 2 is the most successful failure of all time. Despite everything going agiasn't. It did amazing, touched the hearts of millions of gamers in 2004. I grew up with halo 3, But I can respect how good halo 2 was and how amazing its story was. Nothing like it was out at the time with it being done like a movie. It has issues. But I still am glad that MCC allowed me to play it in 2014 though I was disappointed when I found out flood juggernauts were cut and not actually in the game. I watched alot of old halo videos back when I was young. Halo 2 uncut made them return and so did fireteam raven were they threw hunters off the platform.
Honestly, Combat Evolved and moreso This are some of my favourite games. 2 in particular, despite having some jank and bugs, might just be my personal favourite of the lot with its twin-protagonist approach and improved gameplay and level design. Not to mention one of the best, most difficult firefights in action game history period (the "Blow Me Away" fight)...
Just recently started my first experience playing through the Halo series. I have finished the original trilogy, and am currently on ODST. And Halo 2 is very much my favorite.
Agreed. 3's story is so bare-bones and cartoony after the gravitas of 2. It returns to the roots of CE, not a bad move in and of itself, but when it comes to having to build off of Halo 2, it doesn't just fall short. It faceplants.
After beating the game on legendary, I can say that the BRUTES ARE- Kinda easy. They die in, like, 6 headshots. It sounds bad but 6 headshots with the carbine go by in one Mississippi.
The problem came down to 1: they werent properly coded to have flinch mechanics 2: their brute shot was pretty much a instant kill 3: melee in 2 is garbage for the player but instant death attacks for enemies. I dont know how i didnt talk about it.
I've been replaying a lot of 3 and CE lately, and I really couldn't articulate why I wasn't doing the same with 2. But this video summarizes it quite well. Halo 2's levels are just too constricting. Nothing feels as dynamic and multi-faceted as 3 or even CE. Even 3's most frustrating levels afford you a level of freedom (Bar Cortana, of course) compare that to just 2's tank section and you can really begin to see how the magnificent story really had to carry the game. All of this to say, while 2 is by no means overrated, it does have a lot of issues that its predecessor and successor just don't have.
@@NATESUCKSATGAMING you cant BUY the gearbox version anymore. Accessible means that you can purchase it without having to go hunting for it for either second hand or piracy.
In retrospect, Reach was Bungie's magnum opus. Halo 3 is fun, but the story is way too simple, and doesn't really take off until halfway through the game. Seriously, the first few levels are just fighting and moving from point A to B, then eventually watching all of that effort be for nothing as Truth still activates the gate to the Ark, and goes through it.
@@announcerofgames7754 Reach actually had a deeper story and characters. It's subtle, but Noble Team is certainly deeper than anything from any earlier game. And the music and art style are the best in the series.
Yeah...only humans can activate the rings...not Monitors, and not the specially designed Huragok Engineers (whoever came up with the idea that the Huragok were Forerunner constructs, I hate you. They're legitimately the most alien things I've ever seen, and they look nothing like what the Forerunners make throughout the Halo Trilogy--although the Bestarium does say "Builders" not Forerunners.)
@@trickish-spark3961 If you watched the video you should easily be able to guess what I'm on about....
