Stuck astronauts finally have a ride home from the International Space Station |

A SpaceX Crew Dragon space capsule, which is due to bring home stuck astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams next year, arrived at the International Space Station on September 29.

Really?! They're NOT 'stuck`! Stuck would mean completely stranded with no chance of leaving, they have a way home and they had a way home from day 1 so not' stuck'

The only way they had a ride home, was by bumping two crew that were already scheduled for CREW 9, and by sending up another SpaceX suit. The Boeing capsule was not considered safe, and the Boeing suits were not compatible with the SpaceX Crew Dragon. Eight day mission became an eight month mission, I would call that stuck. You take a ride like that, and tell me you are not stuck.

​@javabeanz8549 in case of an emergency they had plans in place, technically not stuck/stranded/marooned, just an unplanned extended mission with an escape plan if needed.

They are still stuck for now, much like a car trapped in the mud. This situation can be either permanent or temporary. Currently, they have not returned and have exceeded their planned 8-day mission. This was not intended. Their inability to execute their plan has led to their current predicament. Until they are safely returned, they are technically stuck in space.
