I think one of my favorite elements to this theme is how much you can feel Kieran's desperation to finally beat the Player in this battle. Its a reallt good, tense battle theme!

I feel like the reason why people good at this game feel the NPC fight are underwelming is that NPC dont switch out their PM. If they do it is a prescripted behavior.

@@filinkcyt when did I say it was underwhelming? I just said I wouldn't have minded more of a challenge. It was whelming. I was whelmed. I would have liked to be overwhelmed like in Legends Arceus with the Giratina 7th and 8th slots. That was overwhelming.
They should have directed us to the Crystal Pool before they rolled the credits tho, ngl that was oddly paced. Everything else about this DLC was great, and we get more on the 11th, apparently.

@@Benzinilinguine They do guide the player, but it's very subtle as it's meant to be a secret. Attentive players would piece it together pretty quick, but perhaps a small part they didn't mention holds players back.

If you read the books on the desk right as you enter the Area Zero Underneath, you'll find one named Journal Entry. If you read it, it describes the writer being teleported to a place from "the far east" that "smells of sulfur", and that the writer met a child with a "white book". This directly references the sulfuric waters of the crystal pool atop Oni Mountain in Kitakami. Once you get Briar's Book on completion of the story, that's your final hint that you need to go there. The only thing they don't say you MUST do is have Terapagos with you in your party, so it's kinda reminiscent of the old Regi puzzles where you need specific pokemon in your party in a specific order but it doesn't tell you explicitly. (SwSh did the same, but were extremely basic and easy to complete.)

I feel like the dlc story could've been more, imagine if you combine kieran's championship team with terapagos and a newly formed briar Pokémon team. Story wise it would have to make a few reaches or rewrites maybe briar was more villainous in nature and thought kieran knew of terapagos and where it hid so she kept telling him of how strong it was and used kieran as a sort of pawn to get briar to terapagos and the final battle between you and kieran is at the cave, terapagos awakens kieran commands it and terapagos in fear of kieran's obsession obeys but at the last second when terapagos faints briar catches it and then uses it to restart to time machine(runs with the whole terapagos dream theory with ttartube)

@@PiggyBonkers0309 I was personally satisfied with the difficulty of the indigo disk but there is still a small epilouge coming in january so hopefully there is a more dramatic final boss in it
