Bangsar is such a boomer area. Its famous because back then this was the only place for nightlife. Nowadays most gen z/millenials hang out elsewhere like in publika, bukit bintang, mutiara damansara
No, not just the mall, the whole area of bangsar/ jalan telawi is famous for nightlife, bars especially for foreigners, local designer boutiques … rows of million dollar homes…. It’s not particularly buzzing with people, it’s just a place where expats go to have drinks and chill during weekends
Bangsar Village is a mall. It used to be one of those early malls in KL and was of high end during its era. Bangsar is the place's name and it used to be the place to be, especially on Friday night because of its vibrant night life, during those were the days. Bangsar also known as the expatriates area until Mont Kiara and Hartamas came up. Bangsar is not as glamorous as it used to be but still a nice place to go chill on weekends. That's when you see how it becomes alive.
Yup. I used to work there during its heyday in the 90s. Now I only go there to sample some Indian dish at Mahbub once a month. There was a stall where it allows customers to read comic books for 0.30 sen per comic but today there are just no more comics available.
Think you got some bad info. I live 15 mins from Bangsar and have been going there for the last 40+yrs. NEVER has anyone said Bangsar Village is famous. It's just a mall. Not even the biggest most exciting one either. There's a few trendy eateries if you're into being seen, but that's it. However, that whole area of shophouses you walked by was THE place to hang out if you like bars and clubs. It's a mixed crowd of all locals and western expats. The heydays were the 80s and 90s. Again, with all things Malaysian, do not judge the area in the daytime. I think you should know by now that Malaysians only start filling the streets in the evenings due to weather.
Yeah ok that is what I started to realize. It seemed to be a party/ restaurant area. I would like to see the area at night. Yeah idk why I thought it was famous haha
lol...Bangsar Village is just a lousy "upscale" mall cater for "Bangsar Bubble" type of community 😂😂😂 I hope you not get the wrong idea with the "Village" lol...
@@aaronaround freaking expensive bro... I don't mean to offend the business owners there. They pay premium price for rental.. yet there are many other places... To many infact.. where the locals go to... Good food good vibe
@aaronaround bangsar the area is upscale and where you were at was just the mall and cafe areas, you didn't get to see the more upscale part of Bangsar like the Bukit Pantai Bungalows and the Bangsar hills side.
Had no idea it was famous but yeah many expats around. Appears popular place for groups of people to congregate. Cannot say Singapore has more shopping malls as it is more compact so all is close to each other. Singapore is like a city in a way and Malaysia more diverse in the people and way of life as you go out which many foreigners will not know and miss out on. But hell yeah Malaysia is the best! I am still exploring ……..

Ah ok yeah I think I needed to see it at night

Ok that is what I started to realize I could see it very busy at night I am sure it has a whole different feel
Bangsar is famous for the nice vibe in the area and not for the buildings.
Lived there for one month and miss it a lot!
Ah ok yeah I bet it is nice at night I didn't get to see it
Nice Bangsar Neighbourhood
Yeah a pretty cool place
Halo Bro! Sup

@@aaronaround Wonderful. I used to go there quite often when I was younger and lived in Damansara Heights. 😀
