- This guy, you'll have seen him a few times before. Pretty standard, gravity magic + sword strikes and a command grab.
The kicker is that you fight on a high platform with the Lake of Rot below. If you get knocked off, you are dead for sure.
If this, somehow happens to you (like it did to me) then you'll have to run through the Lake, and get back up via a pillar on the East side.
I recommend either having a few Preserving Boluses on hand, or the spell "Flame, Cleanse Me" to get rid of the Scarlet Rot you will no doubt be infected with. Also - DO NOT ROLL in the Rot, it infects you for 30s even after you get out of it it will keep trying to build up.
This guy drops his sword, the "Alabaster Lord's Sword", its a weird sword with caster stats but strength scaling. Also make sure you get the Somber Smithing Stone [9] nearby.
I killed him and he fell over the side before i could loot him. I didn't have enough healing potions to go wading through to find it. So i rested at a site of grace and came back and looked all over the ground. Couldn't find it. Went up top and saw his corpse but he didn't have the weapon.
bro fucking same! he died and dropped the shit but I died to rot and when I came back there was nothing.. fucking robbed
I know this is a late reply, but I hear you. I feel your pain. Usually after defeating a boss of any type you wont need to go lute them. You usually get their lute automatically.

Thats weird, I didnt think there was anything special about getting him to spawn. Have you pressed all the buttons and raised all of the structures from the lake?
how can I fight him again? I died on the first fight and now all the structures are already raised and I can't go up.
hey man, you've probably long since figured it out... on the far side theres a ramp that goes up to the boss. you need to run right through all the scarlet rot its awful.

I dont believe he respawns, sorry. I think you can get another sword, but only on a new game+
@@LordBinzVR ahh I see. Just tried it out and he doesn't. I'll just run through Ranni's quest again. Luckily this time, I marked all sites of grace while on my speed run to malenia.

I know this is late, but I believe he appears again in yellowfanix tunnel, and if you beat him there he drops his weapon again.
