@RickyWilder can you cite to me your statistics on the prevalency of cobblers throughout history? Because being a shoemaker was never exactly "common" Go cry to someone else, I'm not here to suck you off
Brings back memories, back in my days there was a shoe repair shop in every neighborhood making old shoes look new again and while walking around you wanted to get your shoe shine just go in and climb into the chair and you'll be walking out with Mirror-shine shoes.good memory.🎉
Without question, the most exceedingly interesting and enjoyable video I've seen on TH-cam in a very long time. Thank you very much, it's just beautiful.
I love watching people doing their craft so well. Because they truly know what they’re doing so well, they make it seem effortless and artful. It’s soothing to see it done with such precision and perfection.
Lost art! I used to love to go into the cobbler down the street...the smell...omg. 😊...That was in the 60s. I don't know if they still do this type of work today, I wish they did!! ❤ Fantastic.
I live in Metuchen, NJ. There's a shoe repair shop in the next town over in Woodbridge, NJ. They do a lot of niche stuff like key copies to stay in business. I think doing these niche tasks, is the only thing that could/would keep a shoe repair shop in business.
What a beautiful video!!! Hearing classical music with the sound of the machines is surreal!! The end result is absolutely gorgeous!! Nothing shy of a masterpiece!
Workmanship at its finest, thank you for your craftsmanship. We need more people like you because so many craftsmen out there an we lost them. What would we do with out them. If tomorrow we lost everything how would we come back an the sad part is we don’t have to go the far back, we have the skills the people an know one knows……. HOW………..
Your machines are incredible, and I know many of them are older than either of us! I used several machines just like them back in the late 70s, and those were old then! Great equipment helps produce great work in the hands of a skilled craftsman! Thank you for sharing.
As a little girl I used to visit an elderly shoemaker and his wife for hours at their neighbour hood shop. Many happy memories. This is calming for me.
Watching your videos is so amazing. Your craftsmanship and your skill is outstanding. Thank you so much for showing us the process that goes into a great pair of shoes. Maybe one day I will own a pair of yours.
I just got a really basic cobbler machine to be able to sew leather. I have a friend who is a smith and he hates making sheaths. Im gonna learn to sew them for him. Today I made a belt. It wasnt very good, but I made it and it fits. Im proud of myself. I fucked up on the rivets... Ill do better next time, but for now its servicable and i can make skirt hikes to match it. Wish me luck!
Amazing work! Can I ask what you call the machine that is grinding the excess leather of the soles is called as well as the machine you used to trim off the bulk of it first? Thank you
Lost art there. Incredibly beautiful & the background music is perfect. Thanks for posting.
How is it lost if they are still made and restored? 😅 just because you don't do something, doesn't make it a lost art 😂 very much alove and well

@@RickyWilder wah wah 😂
I absolutely love the wood look on the bottom of the shoe❤
That is why Im here also. I made a wooden jewelry box for my Mom in shop class. The real cedar doesn't look as good as that stain. Beautiful
That's the part everyone sees right? Especially you wearing them😂 (Much sarcasm)
Love watching
This costs more than a new pair of shoes.
Nadie lo ve
They look absolutely elegant
don't come in here with your dime a dozen boots and talk about elegance, you pedestrian waffle 😤
Na žalost, zlatnih ruku je sve manje i manje😢

My goodness. That's beautiful!
I LOVE your work. Simply amazing ❤️
No machine can ever come close to doing this as beautifully as a cobbler does! This is one thing that hopefully never dies out! ♥️
I love it! I honestly like it without the music. Hearing the machinery and cutting is awesome!
I love your craftsmanship and eye for details. Please keep your craft going and teach it to others. We still need craftsmen in the US.
Beautiful work 👏 👌🏼
OHHHHH MAN. YOU ARE SO UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING. SO BEAUTIFUL REPAIRING. ❤😊

Who would have ever thought watching shoes being restored to life would be so soothing?
What a fabulous talent! I may have been brought up in the 50s and 60s, but I still can not go along with a "throwaway society"!! Wonderful work!👞
What an amazing transformation
WOW, JUST LIKE THAT. YOU ARE A MASTER OF A MASTER. WOW, BEAUTIFUL 👍🏽
Truly...a work of art.
Beautiful! Love the coloring/stain you used on the souls
Such craftsmanship! You’re an artist in my opinion
Props to you for keeping a bygone skill of shoe repair alive. It’s amazing how you made them look like new again. 👍
Beautifully executed. Wonderful craftsmanship. God bless.
We were told A.I is here to take our jobs. I don't think A.I can ever take this job. This is craftsmanship at it's finest. 🙂☺❤

A true old world craftsman! I hope you have an apprentice or two learning your skills for the future!
My old man did it for over 40 years, handcrafted and immense passion… I will always miss him ❤
So glad that this art has been kept alive.❤

As a craftsman in a dying art, I have to say this is beautiful work.
As a little girl I used to visit an elderly shoemaker and his wife for hours at their neighbour hood shop. Many happy memories. This is calming for me.
I Absolutely Enjoy your work. Artistry that’s becoming lost due to mass production & this “Throw Away” culture
skillfully and expertly done - true craftsmanship.
👍 Wonderful work initiative you have reflected. Thank you.
I love that there is still such craftsmanship around 😊
I love your videos, and so does my 86-year-old retired shoemaker father. 🥹Thanks for sharing!
