The low-key most important takeaway is that an aspect of each Demogorgon head could conceivably appear around the same time, doing their own thing until they Spiderman-meme into each other.

Really appreciate this. I've been running a version of Rime of the Frostmaiden campaign where Levistus and Auril have an alliance. Story is Auril's power is failing due to lack of followers (to the extent that she's on the cusp of being a demigod) so she made a deal with Levistus in exchange for power, and is now using this power to subjugate Icewind Dale. The terms are if she dies, Levistus inherits her divine spark and domain. In her hubris she thinks this is impossible so agrees. But if it does happen, Levistus is freed from his imprisonment as the ice can no longer hold him. Hidden in Ythryn, the netherese civilization under the ice of Icewind Dale, is the Jathiman dagger which can kill Gods. Players will discover the terms of the alliance if they choose to kill Auril outright using it.
This came at a good time. Starting a winter warlock of levistus in Rime of the Frost Maiden tomorrow.
Wow, man, that's actually a very thematic character choice for this campaign. You'll see why exactly:)

My Main character is a Levistus Tiefling, and this video made me so nostalgic for playing her. Breaking my heart in all the good ways.

I have been looking forward to this episode.
I wanted to see how close my Tiefling cleric of Ilmater, who traces her infernal legacy to Levistus, fell in line with the lore y’all were going to dish-out.
Conclusion… she has definitely served Ilmater well but used her infernal lineage to the advantage of the party. I can’t wait the play her in the sequel campaign. It’s fun using an icy hellish rebuke!
I think Levistus is on the way out. Much like how Zariel is the new archduchess of Avernus in 5e, I think the next major entry on the nine hells will have a new devil in charge of Stygia.
Absolutely fuck yes to all Atlas Exterus/Deities and Demigods content, past 2 weeks have fed me HARD. We're so close to the Mephistopholes episode, speedrun the hells!

I actually think that if I were Asmodeus I would have him appear in the meeting, on his throne, still frozen in a block of Ice. After all he is telepathic, he does not need to be able to speak to communicate. Yeah you will attend the meeting, but you won't get free.
I know this is an old video, but for anyone seeing it now that also mix up Demonic with “Devilish” that don’t know, the D&D separation would be “Demonic” for Demons and “Infernal” for Devils.
Year of the Fiend is absolutely my favorite focus topic.

Great content! This helped round-out my plan to have Levistus pulling strings behind the scenes. He will be a false Orc god w/ the portfolios you all mentioned. He’ll get my group to break into the Halls of Frozen Memory, to save the last Aearee( creator race), and finally bring the rod of seven parts within his grasp🤞

The Dungeons and Dragons YT channel had a video about Demogorgon, so I left a shout out to Demogorgon in the comments.
I like two thoughts, Tribes of evil selkies (seal skin fae shapeshifters) living off the ice and fridgid waters.
I also like the concept that this layer is (or was) Athus. That the socerer kings offered the souls of all of their people in exchange for rain, for a rebirth of the seas, for a return to the blue age; never let it be said that Asmo doesnt forfil his end of the bargin.

Have y’all ever looked into the Pathfinder Devils & Demons? They do a lot of things that I really like. It’s nice to compare the two and cherry pick what to steal.
Levistus his characteristics remind me of a musketeer or a pirate maybe he falls more under that musketeer type feels like as the world turns but only in hell no no one's going to cry for the betrayal it's not fair.

For real though; this series is absolutely INCREDIBLE. Asmodeus and Glasya play a significant role in my current campaign(An influential family of NPCs is descended from a Pit Fiend who Asmodeus spawned specifically as a protector/servant to Glasya; most of the family is unaware of their exact connection to Hell), so I've been doing a lot of reading about them. This series has been a HUGE help to crash course all of the interweaving drama of The Nine Hells. (Plus it's a whole lot of fun and absolutely scratches the hyperfixation itch while allowing me to work on my ghostwriting at the same time)

I choose to believe the history behind what happened is a mix of both. I believe the princess was the one to question about asmodeus his weaknesses. When her mother refused she killed her. He took the fall for her.
