I love the detail of the suspension and steering parts, transmission, the exhaust pipes. You can see the little lower control arms moving really smooth. Didn’t know diecast models were so detailed!
Great NASCAR collection, and great sentiment about your son. I took a greater interest in racing after that day as well, and bought a whole lot of die-cast through my teenage years. This video made me nostalgic, in addition to the normal relaxing quality your voice has. Thank you.
Wasn't looking for divergent, but I found this! This is an approach that not many ASMRtists take, but I love concept. You explained each car perfectly. Thanks, and continue to make unique content like this!
Haven’t seen a 1/18th outside the packaging in a long time, cool to see they had the wicker bill on the roof. Miss this level of detail on the diecasts.
One of my favorite ASMR videos! Never fails to help me relax. Also an amazing collection by the way. Hope my diecast collection grows to be that awesome!
I really like collecting decks of playing cards. I just like all of the interesting designs you can make for a deck, and they’re my personal favorite type of souvenir to purchase.
The one that you mentioned as an Aston Martin is actually a Jaguar XJ220. At one point it held the record for the fastest top speed in a production car. Made even more impressive when you realize its a V6. Loved this video. Cars are life. Keep up your amazing work. Best ASMR on TH-cam.
Hello Sir. Your car collection is brilliant. I love display cars that sit on a table or shelf. In my living room ive got a 1:18 scale Audi R8 that sits under my big TV on a glass stand and the stand which the tv sits on has a spot light that displays the R8. Ive also got another glass stand display unit that sits across the living room and on that I have a 1:18 Bentley Arnage in British racing Green, a 1:18 Range Rover vogue year 2013 onwards shape, a 1:18 Ferrari 458 in ofcourse red, a 1:18 Mk 2 Jaguar burgundy colour. Having spot lights on them shows them of gr8 and even during the day the spotlights on look 👌. Ive also got a collection of motor racing F1 cars from the 80s and 90s. Williams, McClaren and ferrari. When I say 2 my girlfriend im getting another display car, she usually rolls her eyes lol . Girlfriends don't understand 🙄🤣
You really deserve way more views. I'm never disappointed. I like the way you talk and all the interesting stories and of courses all of your collections.
Wow the detail on those cars is amazing - love the stickers on the tires and love how we can see the engine (and how it is shoved as far to the back as possible for better weight distribution, mostly behind the front wheels which is cool). They all look huge in this video, even for the 1/18 scale, love that :) Great video!!
Good stuff, Sir! I remember my friends and I would ride our bikes around the neighborhood and collecting bottle caps too! And the escalation from Hot Wheels to a '69 Nova SS, my first car in '88... those were the days. Keep up the good work and yes, I prefer the narration.
Do you remember decades ago when Coke was printing pictures on the inside of coke bottle caps? I think if you got every single picture you won some sort of goofy prize. This was in the early 60s. I know what you mean about spending. In my life I've been a coin collector, stamp collector, rock & mineral collector, wood (type) collector. I'm one of those born artist so since I'm now 65 I have so much art around I don't have a lot of room for collecting things because my art is collecting to a pretty great extent. Haha it's time for me to find a new gallery. And if you have any interest and doing an ASMR video on video cameras, TH-cam video how to, etc. that would be just great because it's time for me to get my TH-cam artwork channel up and running. And I'm thinking maybe other of your subscribers might be interested. Well I was your subscriber. I think I have to re-subscribe because I had to get a new debit card 🐱
I remember something like that, I also remember some kind of “peel off” that was on the inside of bottles as well in the 80s....I can’t remember just exactly what it was for, seems like it was a competition maybe. I will look it up now that I have droned on about it, but your message jogged my memory about that....
I personally love Dale Earnhardt. He was one of my favorite racers, along with Colin McRae (rally driver). It’s odd how all the good ones die tragically. My uncle has a Dale Earnheardt style Chevy Lumina pace car which looks great
Everyone's got that one hobby they're super passionate about. I, for one, have a pretty sizeable Transformers collection, and I'm trying to grow my record collection.
He was called the Intimidator because he put other drivers on point with how close he approached them...he seemed fearless. It eventually caught up with him.
Love how I have almost every single dale sr and dale jr die cast as you but I’m jealous you have Dale Sr IROC series car and their car they raced at 24 hour Daytona race
ok quick point, when he talks about taking interesting bottle caps home... I used to do the same thing. That mate is what is known as collective hoarding hahaha
You deserve an old muscle car or a hot rod, if you don't already have one. I genuinely feel like it would bring a lot of joy to you. Think of all of the relaxing mechanic videos you could make. Also 22:12 shame on you that's a 69. 😋 I have a 68 project car. Love the hot wheels videos. You're the only asmr person I watch. Very good content as usual.
Thanks. Yes, an old car would be nice, but I really do not miss working on them. These days I think I'd rather just dust one off once in a while. Miss my 73 TA.
Great show, but I noticed the so call 68 camaro has the sharks gills in front of the back wheels,, tappered front bumper and squared off fenders, all of a 1969,,,, but grill is 1968? lol no biggie, any comments?
I love these videos :) and your audio seems to be more on sided again to the left of the headset or earphones more then the right :) it was more prominent at the beginning then in the middle balanced out and then around the 20 mins mark moved more to the left again just a heads up
I'm a 36 year old guy with pretty bad sleep issues and we suspect it has been happening since my pre-teen years. I likely have a condition called UARS, which has caused me to be tired every day for a good 20+ years for seemingly no reason and not getting very good rest. I should get my treatment machine (CPAP) soon and it will be interesting to see how different my ASMR experience will be after treatment compared to before. My body in general is much more sensitive, reflexes are overactive, etc., due to the severe lack of sleep. I'm curious if I'll keep the same level of ASMR experience. Particularly things like brushes, whispers and camera panning gives me severe tingles that run down my head, neck and upper back. Sometimes I even get light nerve "pains" in alternating sides (usually my left) very briefly as a response to the ASMR tingles trickling down. I guess my ASMR is kind of on steroids for virtually everything that I watch. I have always loved your videos and have watched since way back when you were just getting started on youtube. I remember the first few videos that you made. You are very organized for virtually everything, always have everything labeled and in its place, etc. Your ASMR is also more gentle and kind of sentimental in a way, which is unique from most of the other ASMRtists. I would imagine that in the future I'll see you eventually climb to hundreds of thousands of subscribers and hopefully beyond that. Scale models have always confused me. I know that if a car in real life is 12 feet long, for instance...1:12 should be 1 foot long in size. When it gets down to stuff like 1:43 and such, it can be quite confusing. I guess it goes by length only for scale size? My grandfather was a big fan of Dale Earnhardt and when he passed in the early 90's, I got a lot of it as his grandkid. It isn't really "worth" much of anything new and in the package (already looked it up), but I know that it was his. I guess a part of me just can't understand how people can sit and watch a car go around a circular track for 500 times. I do like car shows, race cars, etc. I guess I just don't have the patience for NASCAR in particular. lol
Painful ASMR? Ouch. Maybe you won't be so sensitive once you start treatment. As for NASCAR, the biggest fans are generally not fans simply because of the spectacle of dozens of cars blasting by at 200 miles per hour...only inches apart. There's a lot more to it, mainly behind the scenes stuff and the real fans follow it all. But I hear ya. My interest faded over time.
I absolutely love collection Nascar diecast, I only collect 1:24 scale race cars but my collection size has gone to about 35 but I’ve only been collecting for a year and a half, and I’m only 17. Great video.
If I’m remembering correctly, you mentioned in one of your videos that you started out using an iPhone, but I think you switched to a digital camcorder at some point. Is that correct? If so, do you mind sharing which brand/model you use? Do you use special lights or just the normal overheads in your home office?
Although, I can see that you were using a smartphone for this video. Speaking of which, it’s amazing that you were standing directly in front of that mirrored background and managed to completely avoid an accidental face reveal! Very sneaky!!
Little Canon Vixia camcorder. I hate it. Can't use autofocus because the microphone (built-in, or external) picks up the electronic noises of the autofocus system. Camcorders of this nature also need way more light that just the ones on the ceiling so I supplement with lamps. Thinking about changing cameras.

That was a really heart warming message at the end
You must be quite the Dale fan to have his car in every size lol
I have to admit, I was more of a Bill Elliot fan. Those black #3 cars are my sons.
God rest his soul
You seem like a great dad. Thanks for the video!
What a wholesome story of you and your son this video is just so sweet
