- I have finally played and finished this game so i feel like i can make a proper review, there is a lot more to say as i tried to keep this relatively short but here it is! Hope you will enjoy!

I’ve started watching the anime this week and quickly fell in love with its characters and world. I got the game for $30 this week and already put in some good hours into it already.
I would say, pick this game up only when its on sale. Fan or not, I recommend it a bit.
I wish to have a good Made in Abyss open-world survival game in the future if the series continues to pop-off. ❤

I freaking LOVE made in abyss and I got so excited and I found out it was a game but as soon as I saw the graphics I got so turned off. This game does such an injustice to one of the coolest worlds in anime ever and that makes it even more depressing knowing this may be the only game we get for made in abyss ever
I dont mind graphics too much personally but i kinda agree with you. Made in abyss has amazing landscapes and it would have benefited immensely from good graphics.
I think MiA:BSFiD is quite a solid first attempt for a game in MiA universe. Love the fact that you can make your own character and use some of the artefacts which are in a serie but mentioned around one character rly. Tho if they ever made another game like this there are few factors I wish they did better. Most importantly movement fluidy, by that I mean stuff like a bit more responsive animations and momentum of a character. Like imagine running away from something, going down on a sharp edge of a mountain and keep in mind that if you bump on something you start to slide down with less control, something like was in Ghost Recon Breakpoint. Few things could be also done in combat manner tho on a long term fighting should still be the last resort in a game like this. And about the world itself there should be more platforming options like maybe balancing on a thin branches or some rope swing actions. More creatures with even more moves would also be nice addition as well as the fact that different levels of abyss would have different side effects if you go up too fast. In other words I think more dynamic and challenging platform roguelike fits Made in Abyss perfectly.
I really liked this game, but I'm a masochist and a MiA junkie. I've also experienced jank published by Chunsoft before.
While the music isn't Kevin Penkin, I still added most of the OST to my Abyss playlist and listen to it a lot
I mean i am close to being and MiA junkie myself and i understand you. Music is not bad but i mean Penkin's work is just a marvel.
Funny thing about this game for me. Played day one, I got two foil cards from this game after playing a bit, and with those I sold it and make up my purchase

P.S. I didn't watch the whole review bc I want to play the game on my own, and don't want to get spoiled. But thank you for this review all the same, kinda forgot this game came out before this poped up😁
Hehehe hello there! I would recommend to buy the game on discount though i dont think the game is worth 60 dollars though it is still very enjoyable!
@@pentagram4872 exactly the reason I didn't buy it. That and also mixed reviews on steam made me not want to play a dissapointing game from a series I love.
It seems similar to Outward because of low budget and clanky-ness, but it still looks fun.

When i see what the minecraft community did with "mine in abyss" i really hope for an open world rpg made in abyss game!

I started playing the game a few months ago. It was a solid game for a small dev team, yet it had many flaws. I'm kind of hope that there will be mor MIA game coming out in the future.
Well to me the main problem is the price tag. Like the game is not that bad but clearly it should never have been at 60 euros. However i really hope they do not abandon the idea of making more MIA games. I really would love to see more of them!
I hope they release some kind of DLC where you can go to the deeper layers
I would love to! Though i personally think they should improve the base game first. That being said i doubt we will get anything at all. If the game sold better we could have had some hope but atm it seems very unlikely.
I do have this game but at first i was scared of this game , but then I was trying to get used to it like when I tried to go further into this game.
But also i jus didn’t know how to get out of the purple clouds , like when I was really trying to explore this game.
Well it sure canbe confusing at times but i personally never found it too hard. You can get some help easily if you join the games community on discord or reddit.
I can't think of a game that properly captures the feel of the anime, other than making a massive descent in like, Dark Souls (maybe tears of the kingdom too). This may not be a great game, but it's still a little tempting now with the 60% sale.
It is very funny but i was discussing the making of a a mia game and we thought that maybe only fromsoftware could adapt mia properly xD
@@pentagram4872 Team Cherry's Hollow Knight is also very similiar, the abyss in there creeped me the heck out. Though it's more like playing a suped up Reg instead of a Riko :P

If you would like a game that actually makes you terrified while playing and is really dark try Fear and Hunger 1 and 2
I have already had someone mention it to me and its on my list of games to play ;)
"Made in Abyss" feels like "Fear and Hunger", but in pastel colors.

@@pentagram4872eh, somewhat, all i can say, difficulty increase and even more gruesome ways to die and i would dare to compare it to fear and hunger.
I would say, for me it is a okay-good game, but there is a lot of room for improvement.

The game is beutifull. Tried to replay it with a Psn controller instead of xbox. Sadly the game dosn't know it. There might be ways around

Absolutely worth. Deep in the Abyss is a MUST, do not play the tutorial.
Wouldnt call it a must as it really has its flaws but definitely an enjoyable game!

It’s mainly the final few episodes of the first season and the movie. It can get dark, but what is definitely something to keep in mind is the sexual tension between the main characters. Being an American, it’s something extremely awkward to get past considering the characters ages.
It can be dark but the protagonist always positive and dont have time for depression i think it is because of their innocent and children mind

Half a year later, I ended up buying it for the 24$. Part of my praises it for how janky it is, there's a lot of new adaptations in games I don't enjoy. So, I'd prefer jank to that. It is still unfortunate the game could've been so much better.
I got stuck in the tutorial because I ran out of food and hunger and needed hunger to progress. Dying couldn't save me either, I had to re-do an hour of Hello Abyss due to that. As a game feature, it's only bad because other games don't do that. But if other games had similar features of punishment, I believe being softlocked like that could be for the better, as long as you know that beforehand.

Well its more that the timeline does not make any sense, as our cave raider reaches its last dive before rico and reg even meet nanachi. They stay stuck just before this event for what is probably months. Pretty incoherent. Not really a game you play for the story.
Half of the time i didnt read the dialogue
But even if they focus on gameplay, could have done better than a rushed project
@@jesterreaper945 it is true and i have not hidden that in my reply, should have been way better. That being said it is still an enjoyable experience imo. We need more MIA games though.

Man, I'm saddened by this. The game looks like a cash grab, it was probably made by people that don't give a damn about abyss. Binary Star falling into the darkness probably has some good things, but that's the problem being the masterpiece Made in abyss is, from the creator, Tsukushi, to the collabolators on the anime you can clearly see talent, passion, hardwork and this game is just one of those cases of: "Hey! Let's make a game really quickly using a popular franchise without thinking too much about it". Man, just watching the last part of the video, the Crimson splitjaw looks like a puppy just hanging there when in the abyss is a real pain in the ass, even with Reg being the chad he is. Also it seems the curse of the abyss just drains some energy and that's it (I can be wrong here, but I need to play or see a gameplay to corroborate this), but my point is, it lacks mechanics that make sense in the universe of Abyss.
Am I going to try this game if it goes on a juicy sale? Probably, but I'm sure, fans using Garry's mod or whatever gamemaker would probably do a better job. Heck, playing Rain world is probably a closer experience to the abyss.That world is alive (at least it seems to be the case in reviews).
And, hey! I'm not shitting on Spike chunsoft. I know making games is difficult. Doing whatever is difficult, but I don't know, I don't like this practices game industry have sometimes, when they rush games and make some patches if the audience buy enough copies and if, problems included, the game becomes really popular, maybe then a remake (or sequel) that was supposed to be in the first place.
In the last part of the video i was in the first layer so the curse is weak, gets way nastyer llwer but i dont want to spoil it for you. I do think however that there were some people who liked made in abyss in those who made this game. To me the problem is probably more inexperience and lack of budget. There are some good ideas and most of the game issues are technical ones (in most games it indicates lack of money or time). But yeah it is clearly not at the level of what i would have expected of a MiA game that is for sure.

Yeah, I imagined it was at the beginning, first, second layer, But it was weird (probably because I remember the time Nat and Reg went to cave ride together.
