    Kramer, what can get measured can get worked on and what can be worked on can be impoved upon. The Mantis seems like an awesome tool to help do that. If you can master the data and turn that into feedback, you will be unstoppable. I see another business opportunity in your future teaching archery using your new mastered mantis interpretation skills. Don't have to be the best shot to teach someone how to be better than they currently are. You just need to know how to identify and improve problem areas. Love your channel!

    Most Bluetooth won't stay connected passed about 60 ft (18 ish meters) give or take depending on obstructions and line of sight.
    Having all that data could be awesome. Just a word of warning, focus on ONE fix at a time. Just like anything else, if you change too many variables at a time, your baseline begins to mean nothing.

    I use to shoot lefty & most all of my arrows would be on the right side of the target , now I shoot righty & my arrows are within the red ring of a standard target & i,m getting better grouping . I shoot from 20 to 25 yards recurve of corse . I found that I,m better righty than lefty . When I shoot I give myself a 6 second window to release the arrow within that time , I know I know 6 seconds is to long time to hold poundage & you can get fatigue from it but it also builds up your muscles too , I almost never hold for 6 seconds tho . June first I’m going to start shooting 100 arrows a day until the weather starts to get nasty & cold then I,m going to do some strength training indoors over the winter . I don’t really have any place indoors to shoot so that is going to be my regiment until then , I can only get better from here .

    I'm seeing your left hand clench right at release. Pulling your left-hand thumb inwards to close your hand could be what's pulling your shot(s) left, and then your pinky & ring fingers especially could be what's pulling it down. Try holding a bow like you would when you shoot, & then deliberately clench your hand to see what the bow does.
    You can see your left hand clenching clearly at around the 6:02 mark (also dropping the bow just a tad as well), again at the 8:37 mark, and a few times starting at 18:00.

  • @gizmonomono
    @gizmonomono 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Moving the bow to the left on release is normal. It's because of back tension. This is why I prefer shooting on the other side of the bow. As the bow moves naturally out of the way of the arrow.

  • @emarsk77

    About the left movement at release, here's my though (which could be wrong). Your shoulders are the pivot point where your muscular force is applied to counteract the force from the drawn bow, and they are - unavoidably - on the left of the line of the draw force. When you release the draw force suddenly disappears, and your shoulders open, bringing your bow hand to the left. We all strive to minimise these misalignment effects, but the fact that the arrow and string can't pass through the middle of our body makes it impossible to achieve perfect alignment.

    The one thing I've noticed when you are shooting is you grab your bow handle on release of the arrow, this can have an adverse effect on where the arrow might go. Keep a loose two finger hold on the handle an concentrate on not grabbing on release..

    KRAMER HELP. I need advice. I acquired an old bear semi recurve. Problem is that I have to increase the draw weight to be able to deer hunt with it. I just had to buy it though. Me and it just click so I gotta make this work. Question is can I take fiberglass backing strips and epoxy on to get to the desired weight. I know I know the riser isn't designed for it but I am willing to risk it. I'll take precautions. Would I need to build a form of sorts or would I be able to put a buncha clamps on? Also what thickness strips would I need that are thin enough to make the slight recurve. I saw some for under 20 bucks that were. 30 -. 40. It didn't say how much draw weight they add per strip. I'll be able to use 1.5 inch strips. If anyone can weigh in I'd appreciate it

      I put a D-loop, peep sight and used a release aid with my take-down recurve for a few months, and it significantly improved my accuracy - no doubt about it. I ended up removing it though, coz the best thing about shooting a basic recurve is the enjoyment you get from the simplicity and from knowing that your performance is all to do with your form, not technology

    One question....have someone ever seen a not unaffected review of this?
    Just bought one, but no one will become a better archer with this by yourself.
    First of all, this is a stability and draw pattern analyzer, not a shoot analyzer, not a coach. If you don't have an interpreter you will be lost in line forest. You will get only stability panic because of some kind of wtf stability score and will forget the most important - technique is responsible for the shot. In all videos and "reviews" is absolutely obvious that the right target is X or 10...really? I choose the target during training myself, I choose the goal of training and it is a technique....the whole system of single-shot...not focusing to hit the center of the target. Tell me...who trains the shooting to the center? Oh goodness, this piece of equipment is a good servant, but so, so bad master.
    Is a little bit overrated for me at now - but will see ;-)
