Wonderful movie, I'm abit of a writer, I began writing letters to my 11 brother and sisters and my three sons to know my true love and make amends for wrongs, every person should do this before any unexpected mishaps on your life, my parents are gone but I still can do it and bury the letter at their grave stone, give yourself peace before life ends ✝️🙏😇💝🕊️ give yourself the gift of forgiveness 🙏

Very very well played by all. From the interesting twists in the story wrighting, to the skillfull flow and interaction between all the actors.. This film has every element of good storytelling.. and I applaud the entire cast who were mesmerizing - and kept my complete interest & attention throught the entire film!! ❤❤❤
I remember reading this book when I was around 14/15. I found it so moving. I’m 39 now and watching the film is just as I remembered it in my head. So real and so sad.

Most black families???! (((Hugs))) if this was your family experience and that you saw so much of this that you think this is NORMAL BLACK FAMILY dynamics. I actually found it so really extreme. Like look, everyone in your family can’t be have a “major” crisis all at the same time. Nothing about this was “most” Black families. But there was a lot of stories about issues in families (on steroids of course). Touching movie.
