This was fun. Always enjoy Dave’s take. As a Sacramento area resident and A’s fan, I won’t be attending any A’s games as long as Fisher owns the team. Great points made.
I'm pretty sure every mlb ownership group is greedy and selfish. If you did a deep dive into the Giants ownership you wouldn't support them either. I feel like you're only hurting yourself not going to games. Getting off social media also really helps
@@GravityFalloutPines Agreed. It's a shame about the Giants ownership too, as Dave eluded. As Dave said, I am in the "benevolent" range as far as supporting the A's, when in Sacramento. He eluded to being "pissed" off initially, and then that wains.
"Possession is 9/10 of the law" keeps getting thrown around. Utah has everything literally in place - location, ownership group, public funds, political leadership support, etc. If Vegas falls through Salt Lake will be a major player
How about building at Howard Terminal with a new owner but marketing the team as a regional team. Somehow make the extended name the Oakland A’s of Northern CA or something like that… spread the credit and the the buy in so Oakland can get help financially and promotionally. Just a thought.
port priority use is back at Howard Terminal so they would have to go through that process again with BCDC. I think Oakland is gone as MLB market unfortunately but I loved the idea of HT
When the rivercats changed from A's to Giants, attendance went up for 2 years, then tanked and not improved.
The A’s are never returning to Oakland. That ship has sailed. The only places they can stay is either Sacramento or Vegas.
Podcast in the wild!

Definitely gotta keep an eye on SLC if this unravels in Vegas
