      You can really use any size you like because even with a really big monitor, you can just use part of the screen for your work and ignore the rest. It really just depends on if you also want to use your monitor for watching video and playing games when you are done working. If you do, then I think the 43" is the best option.

      While Windows 11 scales well at 150% on this 43-inch 4K monitor, pixel peeping still reveals individual pixels. This highlights the PPI limitations: 4K resolution isn't dense enough for pixel-perfect video editing, photo editing, or coding. However, the large size shines for movies, dashboards, and Zoom meetings.

I’ve been editing on a Sony 42” 1080p tv for years and the colors are very accurate to my iPhone colors. Ive been wanting to get this for photo editing. That is a single-button control that allows you to turn on the TV when it's off without using the remote. This single button also allows you to select the menu, increase the volume, and perform other functions. A single click will switch the selection, and a long press will select an item. It's not the most versatile feature, but it's useful if you've misplaced the remote. When you connect to a PC or any other HDMI device, the TV will remember the connection and automatically display the corresponding interface, eliminating the need to navigate through WebOS. This TV turns on very quickly, but if there is no signal, it will display a "no signal" message on the screen. Pressing the home button or input button will take you to WebOS.

      Are you a gamer? If so, then okay. This monitor is very big and unusable at 4K resolution because you will see pixels too often. It is usable at 2K resolution, but you can still see pixels if you look for them. I would not recommend this as a primary monitor. If you are a programmer or content creator. This is a very good display for content consumption such as watching CCTV footage live or TH-cam, Movies, running analytics live etc. Very good secondary monitor with very good colours and decent speakers.

      @sergiomomos6297 no issues. But I use it as a second screen most of the time. Mostly watching movies/TH-cam. I will not recommend this as your primary productivity monitor. Because it’s too big. 27 or 32 will be much better if you are going to use it for video editing, programming etc. for Gaming, casual office work , Movie watching etc this is really good.

    Hi, thanks for this great review! Do you think this would suffice for an office setup (maybe using only half the real estate to keep it manageable)? Or would text not be sharp enough? I'm concerned the PPI might be too low for super sharp text, but the option to kick back and watch a movie on the same big screen (without a computer) would be nice.
    I would like to use this monitor for work - reviewing multiple long, dense, small-text documents on-screen at the same time. I had a 34" VA ultrawide (3440x1440), which was too low resolution to see really crisp, sharp text. Then I got a 32" 4k IPS that was super crisp and sharp, perfect (I had to return it due to a defect). But now I see these 43" ones for under $500 and think I would love even more real estate for work (maybe I'm getting greedy, lol). I think I know the answer but don't want to admit that I should just get 32" or 27" for work, and also get a separate, bigger 4K TV for entertainment rather than trying to combine them into one all-purpose screen.

      34" VA ultrawide (3440x1440) means you are using 2k resolution for 34" size , 2k sweetspot is 27", if you are going 43"+ , go for dual 4k ultrawide around that size.

    Panel quality is subpar, uses RGBW which misses details on lots of things. Maybe from a viewing distance and/or to watch movies or play games it's OK but not for working.
    *I may say that I have the LG 43UN700-B and it's a much better device.
    Also, it's more like a TV without the antenna, does not support things like DDC/CI.

      Native 4K is not usable for most tasks; you will need to scale it down, and you will still see pixels. This is why 43" 4K is good for entertainment first and some productivity here and there. For a primary monitor, I would get a 27-inch or 32-inch 4K or 5K monitor.

      I saw many optimistic videos about 43-inch displays on TH-cam. Maybe they are right if we are only using it for gaming. My primary objective is to use this as a primary monitor occasionally, such as to change BIOS settings on my ESXi server or to use my M1 MacMini. Most of the time, I am using it for TH-cam! Then, AirPlay 2. Your decision to go with a 32-inch display is brilliant, because a 4K display at 43 inches is not a very good experience as a primary monitor, even if it is an 8K display. This is because it is too big.

      @@TechKerala I work on after effects a lot, so I need to preview several precomps and projects to add to my compositions. With a smaller display, those previews are really small and makes it hard for me choose the right ones. With a bigger display, the problem is practically solved for me. I sit a bit away from the display so, no issues. But the led lights can be really straining for the eyes while working for longer duration, that's the only issue for me.

      @@whiteboardexplainers I was diagnosed with severe dry eyes, which made my vision feel as though I'd lost more than -0.75. I was prescribed glasses for the first time, but after testing, it turned out most of my issues were due to dry eyes. Now, I use lubricating drops and don’t need reading glasses, but my dry eyes persist.
      This display feels uncomfortably large for me, and even adjusting brightness doesn’t help. lowering it makes text harder to read, worsening eye strain. I’ll try a 164 PPI monitor next, and if that doesn’t work, I might switch to an Apple display with 200+ PPI. This one is about 109 PPI.

    • @TechKerala
      @TechKerala  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Honestly, I don't recommend this for photo editing or video editing because I prefer not to see pixels. A monitor should have a pixel density of 300 PPI or more; a retina display has spoiled me, and now I can't look at any display with less than 300 PPI. If you are a professional, you should consider getting a 27-inch Dell UltraSharp monitor or a similar model from other brands. You could also check out LG OLED TVs.

      If you can repurpose this or return this , maybe try and see yourself. I am not saying your can't do this kind of tasks on this monitor. You can, but Dell ultrasharp or similar monitor is designed for professionals for a reason.
